Claudia Ross frequently visited the hospital to keep Mama Lu company.
Mama Lu, being older, wasn't recovering as quickly as younger people would. It had been twenty-four hours and she still couldn't get out of bed. She was handling all her necessities on the hospital bed.
The baby started crying, so Tabby Teller took the little one for a stroll in the garden, while Mama Lu pulled Claudia Ross over for a chat.
"Claudia, is every C-section like this? It's so embarrassing."
As she said this, Mama Lu's voice was tinged with a hint of tears.
Lying in bed with a catheter, Mama Lu felt utterly devastated inside.
Especially since Tabby Teller was the one helping to dispose of her waste.
She felt she had lost all dignity, reduced to the status of an animal.
Claudia Ross empathetically comforted Mama Lu, "Mom, don't think too much. A safe recovery is what's most important. Everything else doesn't matter."
"But lying here like this... sigh..."
