The police officer smiled and waved his hand, "No problem, no problem, serving the people!"
"But I don't have that much cash on me right now. Can I get some later and deliver it to you?" Jayden Maguire asked good-naturedly.
"No cash, no problem. Who carries cash on them these days? Just transfer the money to this account."
The police officer took out a heavily worn sticky note, placed it on the table, and slid it in front of Jayden Maguire. The note had a bank account number and a name written on it.
Jayden Maguire didn't expect the police officer to be so bold, blatantly extorting him.
He knitted his brows, "Officer, how much do you think I should transfer?"
The police officer said, "I think the thief is quite badly injured, so to avoid any future retaliation from him, it's best to compensate him more, make a small sacrifice to avoid disaster!"
Nana Monty questioned the police officer, "If I don't give him the money, will he retaliate against me?"
"That's hard to say."
