"Ah... Ah..." Riana Queens ran to the middle of the yard, screaming and stomping her feet, slapping herself frantically as if trying to beat something off her body.
Jayden Maguire watched her, puzzled.
In no time, the cat slipped out of the living room, licking its mouth contentedly.
The screams of Riana Queens brought out Mama Zhou, who was kneading dough, preparing to steam buns for the next day.
"What's wrong? What happened?"
Mama Zhou asked with concern.
"The cat, the cat... the cat just jumped on me..."
Riana Queens was still in a frenzied state, feeling as if a thousand fleas were crawling all over her, itching everywhere.
She rushed to the faucet, turned the water to full blast, and frantically washed her hands and face.
Mama Zhou sighed with relief, though she was a bit annoyed at Riana Queens for making a fuss over nothing.
"My cat often sleeps on the sofa; it probably didn't know you were there and just jumped up."
