The aunt immediately rushed up. "Brother-in-law, you're finally here! My sister and my son were beaten up so badly. What are we going to do? We absolutely can't let these two get away with this. Let's sue them!"
Huang's father shot her a fierce glare, then turned to Yan Xixi. She was sitting on the bench, hands in her lap, hair disheveled, and blood staining the corner of her mouth, utterly silent.
A police officer asked, "So, are you going to reconcile or not?"
"No!" the aunt cried.
"Let them go," Huang's father said.
Seeing her brother-in-law's fury, the aunt didn't dare say another word and hastily retreated a couple of steps. The officer immediately waved to Yan Xixi and Xu Xiaoya. "You two can go."
As she passed Huang's father, Yan Xixi paused briefly, but she didn't meet his gaze. Huang's father wanted to call out to her, but he could only sigh to himself, completely unsure of what he could possibly say.
