She followed him to the dining table like a puppet and sat down.
The breakfast was surprisingly extravagant, a combination of Chinese and Western styles. Bird's nest, fish maw, and cordyceps were all served, along with fish fillet congee, shredded chicken congee, four or five kinds of dim sum, and five or six small side dishes.
The breakfast here had never been this lavish before. She was somewhat surprised.
Wan Donglin was all smiles. "Xixi, eat more."
Perhaps the side dishes were indeed light and tasty today. She ate a full bowl of congee, put down her chopsticks, wiped her mouth, and said, "Mr. Wan, we can leave now."
He just looked at her.
She remained calm. "If Mr. Wan doesn't want to go, that's okay. I can go alone."
