Ming Mei gently patted Xizeer and said softly, "Sweetie, reading at night isn't good for your eyes. Wait until morning when it's bright to read, okay? You don't want to end up wearing glasses at such a young age."
Xizeer rolled his eyes.
Ming Mei was sharing the bed with him, so there was no way he could read the book. Xizeer glanced at the page number, closed the book, placed it on the bedside table, and then reached out to hit the switch by the bed, turning off the lights in the room.
After lying down, Xizeer felt something was off.
He was held in Ming Mei's embrace, her body was soft, fragrant, and very warm. She still hadn't fully weaned, and her body still carried a milky scent.
The aroma mixed together made Xizeer feel slightly intoxicated.
His body involuntarily relaxed. It was the first time being held in someone's arms while sleeping, which felt novel and left Xizeer quite puzzled.
