Ming Mei called out for Huo Er to come over.
Huo Er had been pacing back and forth outside for several hours, not daring to leave nor to let anyone else in. Finally, hearing Ming Mei call him, he immediately rushed in: "How is the Young Madam? Has Mr. Chen's fever subsided?"
Ming Mei shook her almost motionless arms and said, "His temperature has dropped to 37 degrees. We'll have the doctor give him another shot to reduce the fever soon; that should be about it. Also, his wound needs to be dressed again, to check if it has split open."
Seeing that Kang Chen's complexion had returned to normal, Huo Er was overjoyed and nodded repeatedly: "Thank you, Young Madam, you've worked hard, you've really worked hard. Do you want some water? I'll have someone bring another bed for you to lie down and rest."
