"Shameless!" Ding Jinshi muttered under her breath.
"No matter how shameless I am, I can't compare to a certain female hooligan," Ding Long said as he hailed a cab, shoved Ding Jinshi inside, gave the address, and let the driver go.
"Say that again!" Ding Jinshi glared at him, "I haven't even called you out for pretending to be asleep!"
"That's a tactic. If I don't pretend to sleep, how would I know you'd try to pull a fast one on me? If I don't know you'd do that, how would I know I need to prepare defenses against your future escalation at home?" Ding Long said with a straight face.
Ding Jinshi was speechless, looking at the driver who occasionally glanced back, unsure how to explain, so she just kept her mouth shut and ignored Ding Long.
"Just joking, you're not really getting all sensitive and mad, right?" Ding Long, knowing Ding Jinshi's thin skin, worried his joke went too far, but luckily, she just gave him a look without genuinely being angry.
