Nian Shen was injured, and Heather couldn't evade her responsibility. Thus, she prepared to take care of Nian Shen's daily needs in the coming days.
She had confirmed he wasn't Ah Nian, but she wouldn't leave him because of that; she would continue being his bodyguard.
Given the number and frequency of attacks he had faced recently, she couldn't simply ignore him.
"Mr. Nian, could I please ask you to properly think about whether you've ever offended someone before? Perhaps some enemies you didn't take seriously or overlooked, but who might hold a grudge against you?"
In Heather's eyes, even though Nian Shen had taken a stab wound, he seemed far from concerned about it. As for her proximity, he appeared utterly indifferent, shrugging slightly and responding, "Not really sure. Maybe I did at some point. I've lived for so many years—how could I possibly remember everything?"
"No, that's not what I mean… I don't mean everything, just… anything particularly significant?"
