I wave my hands energetically and showed the cutest angelic smile I can muster to the spectators while Kotonoha shyly followed my action with a rosy blushing face that makes the spectators even more swooned by her demure appearance.
Meanwhile our opponents Karen and Karin who are obviously a pair of twin sisters despite the one on the right having a red twintail hairstyle and wear a white shirt plus a brown trousers while the girl on the left have a blue ponytail and wear a black one piece dress, but both of them have an almost identical face.
The four of us let out our pokemons at the same time.
"Go, Zozo!"
"Kasumi, let's do our best."
""Go! Minun/Plusle!""
Standing out in opposition from our pokemons are a pair of small yellow mouse standing on their two legs with red plus and blue minus signs on their bodies.
""Helping Hand!!"" The two twins give out their commands to their electric Pokémons.
A standard choice of move from Minun and Plusle at the beginning of the battle.
But too bad their opponents are Zozo and Kasumi who both have Ground type Moves.
"Zozo, Mud Shot!"
"Kasumi, Sand Tomb."
As the two mouse Pokémon are busy slapping and clapping their hands with each other before they are about to make a brofist gesture, Kasumi which have been fastened by the Quick Claw in her possession hurled a big pile of sand to bury the Plusle under it.
Meanwhile Zozo who seems to be spurred by his defeat in the badgeless gym, are shooting mud with great fervour to follow up on Kasumi's attack.
Yup, this is what I and Kotonoha have trained our Pokémons when they go battling a horde of wild pokemons which sometimes outnumbered us.
Basically, rather than scattering our attacks on everyone, I teach them to focus to take them down one by one to whittle on their number first.
The same goes with Double Battle or in this place is called Tag Team Duel like this.
Kasumi and Zozo worked together splendidly to take down the Plusle, rendering their helping hand from before useless as the Minun is now stood alone facing our two Pokémons whose HP are still completely full with 0 damage.
Before our second wave of Ground Type attacks are executed though, the Trainer of the Minun sensibly returned her Pokémon back to the pokeball, effectively forfeiting from the Duel.
No point on forcing the Pokémon to fight a losing battle which will only hurt them and cost its Trainer the Pokémon Center healing fees.
The Tag Team Duel is immediately called to the end with me and Kotonoha declared as the winner.
After returning our pokemons back to the pokeball with some thanks and a little pat on their head, I leave the Battle Platform while waving my left hand to the spectators as my right hand is holding on to Kotonoha's hand.
The first round of the Tag Team Duel is concluded with an easy win for us.
On the second round, we have a duel against a pair of brother and sister.
A fatty kind faced older brother that would make a fine role on a story as a protagonist's best friend along with a pink twintailed little sister with a face that would be a stereotype for a protagonist's tsundere lover is facing against is on the opposite ends of the Battle Platform.
This time I used Shion and Kasumi who are having a time of their life fighting against a Starmie owned by the Big Brother and a Staryu owned by the little sister.
I let Shion peppered them down with her Bullet Seed while Kasumi throw her Shadow Ball towards them.
Another easy win, I guess.
On the third round, it's Phinia's turn to shine as she mowed down on her enemies with Kasumi acting as a support from behind.
Our opponents this time is a pair of student still in their school uniform, one have a blonde hair and the other have a brown hair.
They blonde let out a Beedrill and the brunette let out a Fearow.
This fight is quite difficult at first since the enemy are all fully evolved Pokémons while both of us are still on the baby stage at best.
I commanded Phinia to use Wing Attack to take down the Beedrill first as Kasumi using Leer and Growl from behind to whittle down the enemy's attack and defense.
The Beedrill is annoying not because it have a high defense but because it have a high speed.
The fact that it knows Double Team also did not help either, in fact it makes it an even worse enemy.
It took Phinia 3 attacks to finally hit the Beedrill and take it down while evading the Fury Attacks from the opposing Fearow that is intercepted by the part Ghost type Kasumi.
After that, the Fearow used a Steel Wing to slap Kasumi out of its way before it proceed to approach Phinia in high speed.
Good thing that its attack is already reduced by 2 rounds of Growl before.
The furious avian used a Quick Attack to approach Phinia quickly and hit it hard even though its attack is already softened.
Kasumi leered on the Fearow to lower its defense, bringing it down to -2 levels after it is already leered on before too.

[ ] Author's Note [ ]
Well, we never knew what Pokémon our opponents wil use against us in the Tournament as all Trainers are required to let out their Pokémon at the same time.
So if you are unlucky, your opponent might let out a Pokémon that have advantage against yours while you actually have another Pokémon that can easily beat the current opponent's Pokémon on your team.

As we have Three Days of Celebration (Isra Miraj yesterday, New Moon today and Chinese New Year tomorrow), I won't be able to make new chapters for this novel until Sunday February 11th 00:00 AM as I will be busy on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th helping to prepare for Chinese New Year Festival on our Local Shopping District (I don't do that to ogle on the Chinese Girls wearing Cheongsam on the beauty pageant show there, honest! 😆 I do that for the "free" food and drinks that is provided as payment for our works helping on there 😎🍻🍱)
