Chapter 296 - Ch 322 - Veela’s Seductive Entry~

The Heads of Houses were ordering their students into lines.

"Weasley, straighten your hat!" McGonagall snapped at Ron, "Miss Patil, take that ridiculous thing out of your hair! Don't you find it exhausting?"

Parvati had scowled at her and removed a large ornamental butterfly from the end of her plait with visible reluctance, drawing exasperated looks from those nearby. The butterfly itself wasn't the issue.

The 'fact' that it was alive and pinned there like a decorative accessory definitely was.

"Sherlock, straighten your hat! Brown, your buttons are misaligned, oh, not you, Miss Brown, Toby!"

Professor Sprout was also going down the line adjusting uniforms, while Flitwick attempted to fix Roger Davies's tie, though even jumping didn't help him reach.

The busiest was Professor McGonagall, who next went to simultaneously straighten the twins' hats as well, muttering, "Weasely's, honestly! I got to have tea with Molly," and sternly ordered a group of girls to wipe off their makeup, lest anyone mistake Hogwarts for admitting Ghoul students.

Snape drew quite a bit of attention as well. His signature greasy hair was gone, replaced by loose, voluminous black locks. It didn't improve his looks much, but at least... it no longer made people feel queasy.

Being stared at like some sort of zoo exhibit did nothing for Snape's mood. His cold gaze swept across the students one by one, and heads immediately dropped.

"Now, follow me please," McGonagall said, when she confirmed their appearances, and marched in order, "First Years in front... no pushing..."

They filed down the steps and lined up in front of the Castle. It was a cold, clear evening; dusk was falling and a pale, transparent looking moon was already shining over the Forbidden Forest.

Lucifer was standing on Hermione's left, Harry had been in between Hermione and Ron in the Fourth Row.

Being her boyfriend, he pulled her closer to himself when seeing her teeth chatter and her arms shake. She was suddenly enveloped in warmth as Lucifer's lips touched her neck and pulled into her skin.

She couldn't stop herself, turning to face him, standing at her tallest on her toes, and gripping Lucifer's sides with her hands, she pushed her lips onto his. While he ran a hand through her hair, and had other on her hip.

They heard Ron's groaning standing beside Harry.

"Nearly six," he had checked his watch, "How do you reckon they're coming? The train?"

"I doubt it," Hermione nibbled at Lucifer's ear before turning around to answer the question.

"How then? Broomstick?" Harry asked her.

"You both have such boring imaginations," Lucifer said, which caused Ron to stare at him.

"Regardless, I doubt they'd fly on Broomsticks from that far away," Hermione gazed at the starry sky as she spoke.

"A portkey?" Ron suggested, "Or they could just Apparate-"

"For the love of all that is Divine, Weasely, please tell me you did not just say that?" Lucifer asked him, looking over Harry and Hermione with ease as he stared at the Red-Head.

"What?" Ron asked defensively.

"You cannot 'Apparate or Disapparate' on the Castle Grounds, for maybe spare Dumbledore," Lucifer said through gritted teeth. He, as well as Hermione, was tired of repeating themselves about something so trivial.

For some reason, she wanted to fall on her knees, put aside his robes and swallow his prick down her throat to calm him down. But she reluctantly placed a hand on his upper arm and he closed his eyes, sighed, and his head drooped, her chin connecting against his chest.

Fortunately, other students were dressed warmly enough not to feel the cold, though many badgers still complained. Why did they have to come right at mealtime? Earlier or later would have been fine.

Suddenly, Dumbledore spoke up from the back row where he was standing with the teachers, clad in a rather flamboyant bright purple robe, his wizard's hat adorned with moon and star embellishments.

"Aha! Unless I am very much mistaken, the delegation from Beauxbatons approaches!"

Lucifer opened his eyes, and one quick scan of the sky over Forbidden Forest told him there were three enormous carriages, each pulled by twelve winged Abraxan horses.

Many students had asked 'where' in the sky, but a Sixth Year girl pointed and yelled, "There!"

The gigantic black shape in the sky skimmed over the treetops of the Forest, and when lights from the Castle illuminated the Horses.

The front three rows of students drew backwards, and a third year Gryffindor girl ended up backing up into Lucifer. She must not have realized it because she didn't apologize; the sight and size of the Beauxbatons vehicle of choice caused her to be in awe.

The horses had landed first, their massive hooves made a satisfying clicking sound to Lucifer as they moved along the Cobblestone path.

A second later the Carriage hit the ground with a thud and a bounce, soon coming to a full stop.

The Horses tossed their heads around and rolled large, fiery red eyes around, shaking their heads and manes out.

"Abraxan Horses!" Hagrid bellowed, practically bouncing from beside his fellow colleagues, his voice startling a few, "Blimey, I've been dyin' ter see these beauties!"

Professor McGonagall's expression darkened considerably. Was all this 'fanfare' really necessary? Didn't they know people were waiting for them? A show of strength? Clearly, the professors (Hagrid excepted) understood the implied message, their faces growing stormy.

'The competition and rivalry between schools had begun from this very moment....' Lucifer's mouth twitched, as he watched a coat of arms had been visible for a moment (two crossed, golden wands, each emitting three stars) before the door opened abruptly.

A boy in pale blue robes jumped down from the Carriage, bent forward, fumbled for a moment with something on the carriage floor, and unfolded a set of golden steps.

"How obnoxious," Lucifer muttered, and Hermione lightly hit his arm. Who didn't have a princess dream at some point? Beside her many girls had clearly felt their hearts flutter. They wanted to climb aboard and experience it for themselves.

The boy sprang back respectfully, and then a shining, high-heeled black shoe emerged from the inside of the carriage, and it was about the size of a child's sled. Then the single tallest woman, Lucifer had ever seen for a human, Madam Olympe Maxime, she was the same looking as before, which meant two individuals had merged, and her memories were gone as well like so others, she stepped out of the Carriage.

At a rough guess, Hermione figured she was the same height as Hagrid was, and he was an incredibly tall individual himself.

When she stepped into the light, she was revealed to have a handsome, olive skinned face; large, black liquid looking eves and a rather beaky nose. Her hair was drawn back in a shining knob at the base of her neck.

She was dressed from head to foot in black satin, and many magnificent opals gleamed at her throat and on her thick fingers.

Dumbledore started to clap; the students and teachers following his lead, broke into applause too, many of them standing on tiptoe, the better to look at this woman with.

The impressively tall woman's face relaxed into a gracious smile and she walked forward toward Dumbledore, extending a glittering hand.

Dumbledore, though tall himself, barely had to bend forward to kiss it.

Aside from Maxime and there were no other adult professors, and barely a dozen of boys and girls, with a few pre-enrollment children like Gabrielle.

That little girl who once begged Lucifer to spare his father was here too, he would have liked to release the Monseuir Delacour, and keep an eye on the family's situation, to see whether they would divorce, honestly, he was totally expecting to see him 'facing' charges for domestic violence and assault.

What a tragedy, he was robbed of the timeline itself.

"My dear Madame Maxime," he said warmly, "Welcome to Hogwarts!"

"Dumbly-dorr," Maxime said in a deep voice, and Draco from his own place barely stifled a laugh, "I 'ope I find you well?"

"In excellent form, I thank you," he said, smiling at Maxime.

"My pupils," She said, waving a hand carelessly behind her. Then, one by one, a procession of stunningly beautiful girls had entered the Hall in graceful synchronization. They all wore silky blue, skin- clinging robes, which made quite the impression on the boys in the room.

"Spoke too soon about the whole 'dramaticentrance' thing," Hermione muttered under her breath.

"They're veela!" Ron said hoarsely to Harry and Lucifer.

"Of course they aren't!" She said tartly, watching Lucifer's gaze cautiously. "I don't see anyone else gaping at them like an idiot!" But she wasn't entirely right about that.

As the girl's crossed the Hall, many boys' heads turned, and some of them seemed to have become temporarily speechless, just like Ron.

"I'm telling you, they're not normal girls!" Ron said, leaning sideways so he could keep a clear view of them. "They don't make them like that at Hogwarts!"

"I think they make them better than that at Hogwarts," Lucifer said softly, without thinking.

Hermione had instantly snapped her head towards him, making heat rise in Lucifer's cheeks due to her intense gaze. Internally, the bushy haired girl was screaming, but she tried her hardest to keep her calm.

The victorious smile playing on her lips, however, was hard to resist.
