Chapter 3 - The Castle Of Rwindell

Inside the Prince Chamber...

It's been two days since I was reincarnated in this vessel. I've learned a little about this world in that time. In this world humans refer to females that bore them as "Mother" or "Mom" whilst for the male they refer as "Father" or "Dad" , so as to assimilate myself into this society I had to use those words to refer to them. The term "prince" is what humans call the heir of their leader. "King" is supposedly a role of said leader; he is like the commanding figure of the people, and with loyalty given to him, in turn, he gives them security in his land. You may ask then, what is the "Queen"? It's just the wife for the king; she takes care of the palace. From my observations, the people of the palace were all spearheaded by my "mother," which is the "Queen."

It has come to my realization that my position is also quite high within this world's standard, only second to the King. Interestingly, below us in the group called royalty were a lot of groups; I can literally list them:

Grand Duke / Archduke – above a regular duke, often ruling vast or strategic territories

Duke / Duchess – rules a duchy, usually just below the royal family

Marquess / Marchioness – governs border regions (marches), important military figures

Earl / Count / Countess – rules a county

Viscount / Viscountess – governs smaller areas under a count

Baron / Baroness – lowest tier of land-holding nobility

Knight / Dame – elite warriors, often serve higher nobles

Lords / Ladies – broad term for any noble (can be honorary or landed)

Squires – noble trainees under knights

How do I know these? Yesterday, the butler came to hand over messages from these people congratulating me on my birth. Honestly, even I know they are just looking for favor; even the king (allegedly father) knows it. Most of it went to the glorious bucket of disappearing stuff (it's called trash) at the corner of the room.

Thus, he concluded his findings within these two days.

The prince's bed chamber was honestly quite a large space. Even without any knowledge about how a usual room would look in the human world, he could guess that this was more than what humans in this world usually have. The baby crib he was in was made to confine him, and yet he could still move his little body without problems and still have more than enough space to roam around. And the room was even more massive than that… It had a place for the emperor to sit with the queen, and they would still have enough room to hold a tea party in. Not to mention the dedicated space piled with so many fluffy, colorful things in the corner of the room.

Yet such a room was always maintained. He would hear maids' voices and steps entering and leaving the bedchamber. Sometimes they even came by his crib to say hi but quickly left upon learning that he wouldn't reply to it.

They also had this thing called showering. Mother would come by just in time to take off my clothes and bring me to a room. Inside the room was a magical hose that produced water. I couldn't imagine such brilliance. These little beings have to be able to conjure water. Looking from above, I'd think that they only knew how to throw metal at one another; apparently, I'm wrong, he thought.

Anyways, today the maids were a little more hectic than yesterday. Apparently, there is this thing called a coronation that I would have to attend today. Yesterday, during my routine observation of the ceiling, I heard from the emperor that the coronation would mean I was to be shown in front of the empire's subjects.

What am I doing now you ask? I'm watching the ceiling, of course. It's not like I can help, nor I want to, also I'm not meek enough to crawl either.

But how can a baby who is just born already crawl? you might think that and yes I don't even know, even the empress was shocked.

Just as Eckhard's diligent research of the ceiling was going on, then suddenly the maid entered his room, it was mother at the center.

"You know what you must do?" she asked the four maids.

"Yes your highness," then all of them surrounded Eckhard.

Ah come on! Eckhard screamed in his thought, he hated when they dressed him. Not because of the cloth but they are never chill when dressing him yesterday they dressed him in 10 different cloths within 3 minutes. He also thought that wearing things forced upon him were beneath him.

"Done!!!" All of the women rejoiced.

"Awh my prince looks cute aren't he," asked the Mother.

"Very much so empress," all of the maid said in unison almost as if sharing the same brain.

To be honest I had never seen this vessel for myself , my ability to perceive things had been limited only through this vessel's eyes I had lost all ability to perceive anything outside of it.

The empress wore a splendid dress her eyes were that of a beautiful blueish color almost as if it were a jewel dyed in blue the dress were white the style were a reflection of herself adorned with a simple flowery embroidery and yet it fit her so wonderfully as if the dress itself made only for existence that is herself with her delicate white hair.

I'm also curious about this vessel's appearance. If I were correct, humans took the appearance of their mother and father so if , Im correct I would've had both of their features as my appearance . Father has blond hair and red eyes he does look presentable to say the least and Mother was also the same. Thought him.

Just as he thought about it, his mother raised him with her hand, embracing him whilst walking toward a table just in front of his crib. Almost as if she had understood the faces her baby had made.

"Do we look matching?" she looked toward the huge mirror that was on the table.

"The prince has the eye of his majesty and your dazzling white hair. You look so good together," said one of them whilst the rest of the maids nodded, agreeing to the statement.

He gazed into the huge mirror.

This…..this doesn't look bad! It's true humans do take after their parents. I have mother's hair and father's eyes. In fact, I even look better! While my body is really… Really small, it looks quite great. And this cloth also looks just the same as what mother wears.

"Looks like the prince is smiling! I think he liked the cloth," one of the maids said, pointing out the little prince's smile.

"You like it? I suppose we need to give the tailor a little bit of a nice gesture in return then. Tell the head butler to prepare a reward for the one who made the prince's cloth," the empress said.

"Yes, your majesty," those maids nodded before each of them left the room, leaving Eckhard and his mother.

"Oh look at the time i suppose we should get going now should we? my son" she said while walking toward the room entrance holding him in her embrace.
