Chapter 108 - 00108. Talking like Garp.

After Marcus finished at the pirate casino, he started to think that Rayleigh really was at the human auction house. He also started to get annoyed because if Rayleigh just owned a den den mushi, Marcus wouldn't need to search for the man.

Marcus made it to the last casino after half an hour and it ended up a dead end too. Since the casino was close to the ship yards and coating areas Marcus headed there to search for Rayleigh. Marcus ended up wasting a few hours there and confirmed people hadn't seen Rayleigh in almost a week. With that information Marcus turned his attention to the last place Rayleigh might be.

Marcus really didn't want to deal with the human auction house, but at this point it was either go there or wait for Rayleigh to show up…

Marcus headed towards the amusement park first to grab a couple things as a plan formed in his head. Afterwards he headed towards the auction house at a slower pace as he debated how he wanted to handle it. First he needed to confirm Rayleigh was at the auction house, then he could either try to buy him himself. Let someone else buy him and follow them to free him afterwards…

Or Marcus could go in and free him, but if Marcus did that he would end up freeing everyone else at the same time…

The other thing Marcus wasn't sure of was if they were even holding an auction today. He doubted they were held every day, but even once a week seemed a little much. As Marcus was lost in thought he ended up arriving at the human auction house and whether it was luck or just timing, it was open and they were having an auction later that day. Marcus frowned since that meant they had a whole group of people they planned to sell.

Marcus watched the auction house for a little while as people lined up outside before it opened. He saw a handful of guards at the main door and he also found some at a smaller side entrance. After a while of thinking, Marcus decided on his first idea that would work and at the same time sounded fun to try. With his sword wrapped in cloth, a cloak over his head and a large mask covering his whole face, Marcus confidently approached the side entrance like he owned the place.

The guards stationed there quickly took notice of him and tensed up as he approached. When he was about twenty feet away one of the guards said, "Stop where you are, don't approach any closer."

Marcus sneered at the man as he said, "Shut up trash and go grab Disco before I kill you."

All the guards froze in place as they stared at Marcus before he disappeared from view and they dropped to the ground unconscious. Marcus didn't waste time looking for the keys and when he found the door locked he ripped it off its hinges. The sound it made gained the attention of everyone in the back area and as they moved to find out what happened, Marcus blitzed through them all.

Within moments the entire back hall was littered with unconscious bodies. As Marcus walked deeper into the building more guards appeared and he quickly handled them. When guards finally stopped appearing, Marcus grabbed one of the guards and slapped him around until they woke up. The man looked at Marcus in fear as he asked, "Where's disco?"

The man shook as he pointed down the hallway as he said, "Near the main stage."

Marcus knocked the man out before he headed towards the main stage where he found Disco talking to a few guards. Marcus appeared next to Disco a moment later as the guards dropped to the ground. Disco didn't even blink as he asked, "Do you have any idea who you're fucking with?"

"I'm not scared of a second rate warlord playing king." Marcus said before he punched Disco in the stomach.

Disco folded in half as he gasped for breath before Marcus grabbed the man by his hair and dragged him back towards the staging area and said, "Tell me where the keys are for the slave collars."

"Doffy will kill you for this!" Disco snarled as he clutched at Marcus's arm that was holding his hair.

Marcus yanked the man towards him as he said, "He can certainly try, but it definitely won't be today. Now either tell me where the keys are…"

Marcus punched the wall next to Disco's head and it exploded into rumble before he said, "Or I do that to your crotch."

Disco's face completely drained of color as his eyes widened to the size of saucers. Marcus yanked him by the hair again as he said, "Keys, now."

Disco raised a shaky hand as he pointed down the hall and said "My office, first door on the left."

Marcus dragged the man towards the door as he heard more guards approaching from his earlier demonstration. Marcus kicked open the door and found the keys a few moments later when Disco pointed towards them. As he stepped out of the room with Disco in tow, another handful of guards appeared in the hall and froze. Marcus didn't even waste time with them as he moved towards the holding area and found it packed full of people.

All of them were huddled in different cages and while a few of them were near the bars trying to see what happened. The rest of them were curled up on the ground or just seated on the ground staring at nothing. Marcus glanced through the cages quickly as he dragged Disco by his hair before he found a cage with an older man calmly drinking from a flask.

The man studied Marcus for a few moments as Marcus unlocked the cage door before he asked, "So you're the one causing all that commotion, huh?"

Marcus tossed the keys to the man as he said, "Sometimes it's easier to talk with your fists. Help me free everyone and we can talk afterwards."

Rayleigh caught the keys as he said with a sigh, "Looks like I won't be making any money this time."

Marcus pulled Disco into the cage before he knee'd him in the face knocking him out. Then he disappeared and a moment later the guards that were cautiously following him dropped to the ground as Rayleigh stepped out of the cage and rolled his shoulders. Then he headed towards the closest cage and opened it up as Marcus double checked the guards. As people were being released, Marcus yelled out, "Gather over here and wait, we'll all leave together."

Marcus took another set of keys and also helped people out of their cages and collars and soon enough everyone was free. As Marcus led everyone out of the building Rayleigh glanced at him as he asked with a chuckle, "So where are you taking all these people, hero?"

"Not sure yet, but anywhere is better than here." Marcus said as he led everyone away from the building.

As they left they attracted attention from the people waiting outside along with the rest of the guards. Marcus glanced towards some people who started to follow them. Most were visitors to the auction house while a few were guards who planned to chase after the former slaves. Before they could even get close Marcus said, "I'll be back."

Rayleigh followed Marcus with his observation haki and watched as he dropped everyone, even approaching the group. After fifteen minutes to give the group a heads start, Marcus headed back and pulled out his den den mushi when he reached Rayleigh. Marcus dialed a number on it and after a moment Garp's voice rang out as he asked, "This better be good Sengoku, you just woke me up from a perfectly good nap."

Rayleigh's eyes widened slightly at the sound of the voice before Marcus said, "Grandpa, I just freed about a hundred people from the human auction house on Sabaody… Should I take them to the marine base?"

"Huh? It's barely been a week and you're already causing trouble?"

"I didn't plan to, but something came up… So marine base or should I call dad?" Marcus asked as he glanced towards the big group of people fifty feet behind him.

"Call your dad, he will handle it better than the marines… And don't cause any more trouble, I don't need you getting a bounty." Garp said in an annoyed tone.

"Funny how doing the right thing could give you a bounty… Sounds like the gover-"

Garp cut him off as he said, "Shut it brat, your dad is bad enough."

Marcus chuckled as he said, "Alright… I need to take care of this, I'll talk to you later grandpa."

Marcus didn't give him a chance to respond as he hung up and dialed a new number as Rayleigh let out a little chuckle before he said, "I was wondering who you were… But you should stil-"

"We can discuss that later back at Shakky's." Marcus said as the den den mushi line connected as Dragon said, "Go ahead."

"I just freed over a hundred people from the human auction house in Sabaody and grandpa said to call you."

Dragon let out a sigh before he said, "Grove twenty, I'll have some people meet you by the bridge coming from grove nineteen."

"Alright, thanks dad."

"Don't worry about it and try to stay out of trouble." Dragon said before he hung up on Marcus.

Rayleigh chuckled as Marcus put his den den mushi away before he said, "Hanging up on people without saying goodbye seems to run in your family."

Marcus nodded as he said, "I think grandpa is the one who started it."

Rayleigh glanced at the group behind them as he said, "With how slow they're moving this could take a couple hours."

Marcus nodded as they reached the first bridge and said, "If you have a better idea, I'm all ears."

Rayleigh glanced towards a dock not far away with a couple of smaller ships as he said, "We could always borrow a ship or two."

Marcus followed his gaze and after a few moments or thought he said, "Sure, sounds good to me."

Marcus and Rayleigh led the group towards the dock and one of the bigger ships before Marcus called out, "Who's in charge of this ship?"

A large round man on the deck looked down from the railing as he asked, "Who wants to know?"

Marcus flared his conqueror's haki towards the ship and a moment later the man and everyone else collapsed. Rayleigh's eyes widened again as he took another look at Marcus who pointed at the ship as he said, "Everyone on board, hurry up."

As everyone boarded the ship, Marcus quickly untied it from the dock and within five minutes they were sailing away. Marcus and Rayleigh made short work of the trip and quickly found Dragon's people at the bridge. After unloading everyone, Marcus sailed the ship back towards grove one and when the captain and his crew started to wake up, Marcus and Rayleigh bailed from the ship. From there Marcus said, "Head for Shakky's and I'll meet you there soon, I need to go grab something."

"Alright kid, I'll see you there." Rayleigh said as Marcus faded away.

As Marcus sped through the grove at top speed he headed back towards his ship. Along the way he removed his disguise and tied it into a bundle before he tossed it into the water between one of the groves. Marcus had no idea if people would figure out who he was, but he was still trying to be cautious after the fact.

Marcus made it back to his ship after taking a round about journey and checked it out before he headed back towards Shakky's to properly meet with Rayleigh. If he was lucky, Rayleigh would be his teacher until Marcus learned everything he could from the man.
