They knew the time to go after the treasure had come; however, the one to move first would be targeted by everyone.
If a single tribe attempted to take the treasure for themselves, their whole group might be annihilated by the combined force of other tribes.
They knew that the other tribes wouldn't sit still if they went after the treasure so openly; however, they also knew that staying still wasn't an option.
The righteous tribes were better off in this case. They had already promised to cooperate with each other. At least they won't allow any of the demonic tribes to take the treasure.
The remaining beasts who guarded the treasure were also wounded and not in full health. They knew that they would need to take advantage of the discourse in the human cultivators.
