Recap: Zane traveled to the Crime Syndicates Universe, got rid of Ultraman and Owlman then took over all the villains in the world under him some with force others with a 'different' approach and slowly but successfully conquered the whole planet and started 'rebuilding from the ashes'.
In a matter of two years he achieved solid control over everything and is looking to expand into space but it is time for him to return to the Young Justice universe again.
[3rd Pov]
Life in the Syndicates universe went on and everything was looking up to be in better shape than it ever was.
People for once were happy, genuinely happy. Children, old people, students and teens were the ones who enjoyed the most advantages.
No one was left unsatisfied, orphans and seniors were managed to spend time together, give the kids the familial love they crave and give the old people those who will make their lives more... livelier.
Health and education was not only free but mandatory to the point it's forbidden not to take care of yourself and not to know how to read and write.
Diseases and sickness went down to numbers never seen before, new discovery and cures were being found every day.
Immunity to the flue, cold and minor illnesses have been made and the cure to cancer was 'finally' found.
What a miracle!
Illiteracy and homelessness is practically nonexistent anymore, everyone has to learn and everyone need to do something no matter what.
It doesn't matter if you want to be a scientist, doctor or artist. Hell, you can be a singer or a dancer as long as you have the talent for it or put an effort behind it.
Jobs are all over the place, if you qualify for it you have it. It doesn't matter who you are or what you are. Money doesn't exist anymore and it's all on digital points managed by the central Ai in the main Tower, and one can buy anything with them. Delicacies, cars, superpowers...
With the absence of government and any ruling authority beside Zane's, there was no need for borders and travel restrictions.
You want to go someplace? Just book a plane and scan your new bracelet ID, pay your points and be on your way.
Not that anyone use planes anymore these days. Planes, airports, underground trains, cars, busses. Any mean of transportation have been overhauled and reconstructed from the ground down up using renewable energy or state of the Art inventions.
Everything had an 'upgrade' and changed to clean energy and efficiency. Oil and Gas? What that?
Criminality and villainy is almost zero, 'almost' because there's always going to be someone who wants more, needs more or is just stupid. But it gets taken care of very fast it may not have happened.
Weapons after all are forbidden to have or use unless your job demand it. Those who still keep guns around their homes see them as relics of the past or decorations nothing more.
And even then people are not like the sheeps they used to be. They don't scream from the bottom of their heart and run or just stand like idiots to film what happens.
They take actions and responsibilities because they will be rewarded for it. If they were fast enough anyway.
There's security cameras everywhere and the response to such thing is almost instantaneous.
Weirdly but unsurprisingly there are no prisons anymore, and those who break the laws are rarely seen after that. But well only those stupid or retarded break the laws, they lack the new general 'common sense' after all.
Everyone is looking forward to the future because everyone knows what the plans for the future are. The boss didn't hide anything from them and they saw step by step how he achieved what he said he would.
And the next step is space, the most excited ones are Zane's direct subordinates and the towers managers.
He almost made them crave the adventure and they can't wait to travel, discover and take over.
Any thoughts about earth domination and rebellion got evaporated so fast it might as well have been an illusion, what for if they got promised with new planets and territories?
Yes Zane want to simply take over planets, terraform those that are suitable, subdue hostile ones make alliances and exchange knowledge and technology.
He is not a warmonger, not everything need to be taken, conquered or forced.
And the reason they are most excited about it is because he is going to give them these planet to rule and do whatever they want as long as they follow basic rules and conditions.
By now everyone understood Zane's bottom line and will never dare to disobey, and honestly they are happy with the way it is and even a little grateful, but only a little.
They are still petty and sore from the beating all those times. 'Potential and limit' training their ass!! it was a fun beating for him.
Speaking of the subordinates a lot changed over the time with them. Some got really more powerful, branched in application, got an upgrade or learned new stuff.
And after the first 'punishment' Superwoman received, the relationship between them all changed a bit.
The women got more confidence and became feisty in their approach, tried to probe and push more after seeing Superwoman condition after every couple punishment she received.
Zane discovered that apparently she doesn't have a masochist fetish but some kind of dominance and 'put me in my place' one.

Hell after a time she actually encouraged some other women to join or just dragged them forcibly and said some bullshit like you deserve to dominate them all and some stuff.

Do you know how hard it is for a man to resist all these temptations? I am powerful and have almost nothing to fear, have tricks and trump cards in case of unexpected situations, I am super smart and women are throwing themselves at me.

You know when I first reincarnated I noticed a lot of changes about me. Not just the obvious physical and mental ones.
The amount of feelings and sensations I experienced, my brain thinking speed! I was already an overthinker before thinking about the future and the past even if I never liked to do that.
Now? I'm simulating entire lives and scenarios in moments. And I am going to live for a long LONG time, if I will ever die even. That made me kind of concerned about feeling bored and everything.

Zane like every other person with imagination always dreamed about having powers, being a hero, save people and make everyone's life better.
Of course he grew up from these naive past notions but he always wondered what will it be like if he for example had the power of Superman in a world without superpowered people?
It will be easy to solve conflicts and end wars right? Like the Israel-Palestine conflict.
That is a real world and not a fictional, comic-book world.
People will stop shooting at you after they realize you are bulletproof right? They won't act high and mighty when you can lift tanks and shoot laser from you eyes right? People will listen to you if you threatened them or acted more forcefully right?
Just go there tell them to stop, no killing anymore. Make them sit together and follow what the law says, no favoritism, no money and influence to help them out.
And everything will be done, war will be solved and everyone's happy right? It's that easy right?

Wrong!
People will still shoot you, throw bombs at you and curse you and spit at you in the face.
Not because of courage or because they are dumb and illogical. Okay maybe a bit illogical but that's not it, it's because of fear.
If that doesn't work use bigger weapons, if weapons don't work use the law, influence and the moral high point.
Just because you are the strongest person in the room, the country or even the world it doesn't mean everyone will just accept what you say and succumb to your rules.
Forget the 'plot' and entertainment purpose, no one ever wondered why doesn't the Justice League just take over?
They are trying to save the world and the people after all, why does everyone go against them and make everything harder on them.
They did it in some universes no? In some they did it wrongly and with haste but in other it worked right?
Justice Lords? It wasn't that bad no? Yes people lost some of their freedom and freedom of speech but it's not like EVERYONE in the world had that privilege to begin with.
Not everyone was... is equal. Some don't have food to eat, no homes and beds to sleep in.
What if you are guilty or innocent? Someone with political power or money can just decide what they want and this 'freedom' of yours won't matter.
Were they really that evil? They didn't do things perfectly but evil? No.
But it doesn't matter does it? 'Your freedom ends where mine begins' right?
Justice Lords decided something and Justice League disagreed, they had a fight and the winner decides right? It's flawed sure but people will get used to it. Just like they got used to the present.
But I wanted to try something new. Who can say I'm wrong if everyone on the planet is happy and agree with my decisions? If everyone truly has the same chance?
Not truly equals but atleast you know everyone got what they deserved. No backdoors, no connections. Your effort only.
I have examples you know. I know about a lot of methods, their ways and consequences. I can take the good and leave the bad. Make sure not to make the same mistakes and instead learn from those mistakes.
It won't matter then if Batman came and tried to preach me about justice from morning to dawn. Nor Superman can say I'm here to stop your tyranny if everyone stood against him.
I remember this episode, very old. Superman defeats Darkseid, he throws him in Apokalypse infront of mistreated and malnourished slaves and tells them you are free.
They rush at Darkseid concerned about him and help him up. Calling him Master. It leaves Superman schocked.
Despite his cruelty, the enslavement and the harsh treatment they are still afraid of him and worship him even when he's at his lowest.
Because people thoughts are already warped, they're already used to this, they don't know any better. They don't see you freeing them, but messing with the natural order they are accustomed to.
That's what I did. Introduced a new natural order, something that will make people think they were barbarians and they finally knew civilisation.
Something that even if seen as wrong or unnatural from a different point of view, here it will be the right thing.
It may sounds morally questionable, wrong or evil but at the end is the result what matter no?

"So how many women did you lure in this time?" That's the first thing Serly greeted me with.
I stood there looking at her weirdly.
"What! The last time you went to another universe you got yourself a warrior goddess and a teenager with atomic control which is still bullshit by the way"
I open and close my mouth trying to formulate the 'right' answer. "Holly is not a goddess just an immortal warrior, and I litterally had like two conversations with Eve!"
"Yeah yeah don't change the subject just say how many" she crossed her hands and looked at me with a raised eyebrow trying to look intimidating.
I fight the urge to twitch my mouth, I swear those womenly instinct are terrifying "none? It's complicated"
It's Serly's time to look at me weirdly "none?"
I raise an eyebrow at her question "really? Just none? What kind of a guy do you think I am?"
Serly with no shame at all declare "sex on legs" with a sage nod too.
"Excuse me?" I am getting exasperated now.
"Please" the audacity! She is rolling her eyes at me! "Any woman who spends couple of minutes with you will get infected with your alpha male energy"

Well true just because I went there didn't mean I forgot about this place, I usually leave a duplicate at first because it was necessary to look after anyone causing trouble but later it wasn't that necessarily anymore then come here either to spend time with Serly and Holy or to work on the planet.
"I didn't trap anyone" I say flatly " more like I was forced" I speak softly voice low at the end.
"What? I didn't hear that?" She definitely heard it from that interested smirk at her face.
I sigh loudly and start explaining to her what happened with Superwoman and the rest of the shenanigans.
"Seriously, is this your fetish or something, or do female warrior have this innate desire for strong males?" Even she is bewildered.
"First of all, no I don't have this 'fetish', and beat me how should I know? I only met 3 so far... actually 4"
"That's already too many" Serly squint her eyes at me.

After talking a bit more with Serly about her days, her work and a bit of the Syndicates Universe and having checked on the planet progress and how things are back on earth I finally had time to be alone and prepare some updates to my system.
Holly is currently busy after some fallout with a space mind controlling starfish in Mars. It sounded suspiciously like she was describing Starro of my universe but then again the two universes are not that different from each other.
Anyway "Amy, let's start with a summary about the gains I got from the for now designated Syndicates Universe."
Yeah the 'suit' was me trying to make an ever adapting and evolving material using the best metal found in both earths, Flaxan dimension and in Invincible universe not to mention the Nth metal I was finally able to reproduce albeit without it power/ability sharing trait due to lack of the suitable energy radiation found in Thanagar or wherever the nth metal is found.
It's not like I'll be needing a suit. What am I Iron man? But hear me out.
First as I grow stronger even my costume can't keep up with me, it doesn't matter if it's a bio-nano mix. Even organic clothing can tear, get destroyed and are not really fire or ice resistant not to mention other things, they can regenerate yes but it's not efficient.
A suit purpose is to empower the wearer not to hold them back! I want something like Batman's Hellbat armor for example, empowering the user by using their energy, chi or life force. Yeah I have basic knowledge about chi from Cadmus but it's nothing particulary impressive or useful. You don't see a lot using it after all not to mention mastering it.
And let's be honest, who doesn't want an Iron Man suit? A shame cyborg is not a thing yet here, I don't know if I want him to be honestly.
I may just go down and steal the motherbox Starlab will come to possess in the future or maybe they won't even come to have it with all the changes that's going happen.
Imagine turning my hand to some cannon, or have sleek thruster, sure useless to me but is still cool. Maybe take Blue Beetle too? Or let it be and go to the other ones? Prevent the whole Beetle-Reach arc from happening?
I was lucky to aquire the metal the Amazon warriors use, that along with the nth metal helped me massively branch in fictional metal production and all that together helped me further in inventing the ever adapting metal I named Adaptium for now.
It is still not finished, while it is practically 'indestructible' there's still more to improve. It's also highly resistant to elements, decay, rot and pretty much every 'common' phenomenal not to mention it impressive capability of energy absorption from kinetic to magical and even psionic energy.
On top of that, it being semi nano-organic grant it some serious regeneration capability on par with the likes of Wolverine or Deadpool if my calculations are correct.
"Did you upgrade Serly's and Holly's suits and communication gadget?"
Shaking my head in exasperation we continue ironing more details about the materials side of things.
Yeah I don't know why I wanted to start a company on earth anymore. At first it was just for the sake of it since I can afford it and have the capability to, that plus this universe serious lack of good entertainment made me start a gaming company.
I even asked Serly to be the CEO but she refused because it's not her expertise and it will keep her from having time for her inventions. Serly proves again to be passionate about her work, that or Batman is paying her very handsomely.
As if I can't offer her all the money and material she needs. But this is Serly we are speaking about and she dreams of sharing her progress with the world first.
It's one of the many things I admire about her beside her stubbornness.
Anyway I went with it and recruited and layed a general plan, payed good money and rewards and offered freedom of 'ideas and creativity' so anyone with an idea can share it and have it done if approved of and payed extra with shares if succeeded.
The company at first was a losing business since the costs were way beyond any win we were making but slowly and in a matter of two years it became a renowned name in the gaming and entertainment industry.
I was not an avid gamer in my past and while I know most of the famous games I sadly didn't play them so I couldn't really replicate them here, but what I could was already enough and a happy staff encouraged to share ideas went good hand in hand to offer the gamer community well... it name.
