3 km from Loguetown,
Early morning..
Emergency sirens blared across every government ship at the harbor and port area.
"One of our ships has come under attack! Be alert, prepare for departure!" Announcements were being made from the microphones.
Turns out the operation that Sear and Saga were part of wouldn't be in Loguetown itself; rather, it stretched to the larger Polestar Island and the surrounding sea, where the town was situated.
On waters that were neither nearby nor particularly far away...
The Revolutionary and the Marine ship collided with a dull thud after exchanging rounds of cannon fire.
"Seize that ship!" Saga, being the leader, raised his large sword at the enemies.
Immediately on his command, all the Revolutionaries sprang into action. Dangling and swinging on ropes tied to the mast of their ship, they bravely hopped onboard the Marine vessel.
Sear was among the initial wave leading the assault.
Though attempting this for the very first time in an actual combat situation was quite complicated; he had nearly hit his head on the railings.
Still, with some luck, he managed to land on the enemy ship without falling into the water below.
His shifting gaze also caught Saga leaping forward. Only a necessary handful of the revolutionaries stayed behind.
Focusing back..
"It's the Revolutionaries! Protect the goods!" marines rushed across the deck.
Taking a step, Sear thrusted his blade forward— creating a torrent of compressed air in the form of a bird "Sparrow!!"
Several Marines got blasted backwards, crashing into the crates nearby.
Saga too swung his longsword with one hand as if nothing out of the ordinary. He made a bloody path as he moved and even in the midst of combat, gave proper instruction.
"Avoid damaging the ship too much. Spare them if they surrender and finish this as quickly as possible."
Before Marine reinforcements could arrive, they succeeded in capturing the command cabin.
Right afterwards, the sails picked wind and two ships sailed away side by side.

Loguetown's Marine base was in an uproar following the incident.
Slam!!
A muscular hand slammed the wooden table.
The highest commanding officer in the base, had his authoritative gaze sweep across the four men in uniform sitting Infront of him.
"Incompetent! How did they get defeated so quickly?.. Not to mention, by a bunch of unknown Revolutionaries!"
He was furious.
"Find out the identity of the one leading this new group. I want to know who we are dealing with."
Right after his orders fell, a man sitting to his right, spoke; "Commodore, what do we say to the Government? It was our responsibility to deliver those weapons to Deul Kingdom."
Hearing this, the base commander became considerably clear headed and calm.
A sign of relief escaped his subordinates.
"Contact the King, tell him that he has to delay his plans for war.. If we can get him to accept this, as a favor for hiding his war crimes, then it won't affect us. if need be, have the commission he has to pay us be deducted as compensation. "
He was giving orders when suddenly a soldier barged into the room.
"Commodore, bad news! Another of our Vessel was attacked!"
? ? ? ?
"What?"

Sear and the team were fleeing from their pursuers. Their ship shook when a cannonball slammed into it's hull, yet only minor damage was sustained.
The ship they were on was completely different from the last one. Their previous ship had been of the regular kind, taken from some defeated pirate crew.
This one, however, was a proper RA ship; it was all black with red sails.
Sear walked up to the highest point on the deck. There, he reported the general situation to Saga.
"We are getting further and further away from the enemies and everything is under control.. Though it seems, this time the supplies being sent to Deul Kingdom were mostly steel blades, so they might put out the fire."
"Hmmm," Saga lowered his head in thought..
"It's unfortunate we had to set the supplies ablaze. Still, whatever the case, the damage is done; this much should halt Government expansion into the territories of our allied nations."
He then paused and tapped the wooden floor with the sheath of his sword, exclaiming..
"!! Our engineers back at Baltigo have really outdone themselves, huh! This latest ship is something else; with its speed, enemies will have a hard time catching us."
"You can say that again." Sear nodded, as behind him celebrations were underway.
"We have lost the Navy! Hurray!"

Smoker, a fresh officer who recently returned from the Grand Line after completing his enlistment phase in Marineford, was assigned to a newly created rapid task force stationed at sea.
A battleship formation of one flagship and two smaller vessels were ready to intercept the Revolutionaries at a moment's notice.
Smoker, having been summoned to the commander's office, was reading the reports with a dumbfounded expression.
'This is.. Sear!!' he mumbled.
Among the pictures of the Revolutionaries taken during the recent battle was the guy who, just the other day, he had reunited with. The resemblance was uncanny.
Silence fell onto the room.
"What happened? Do you know him?" Commander Pudding asked with a concerned look.
"N-no, n-nothing," Smoker stuttered.
"That's good then. I know you have a strong desire to fight pirates, but right now these Revolutionaries have become a bigger threat to stability. That is why you were assigned to this task force.."
"I understand."
(A/N- Don't get confused. The commander of any base is different from the rank of Commander.. even a Vice Admiral/Captain can be referred to as a commander in situations where they are commanding a base/fleet.)
