RUBY'S POV
The moment we stepped out of the room, I closed my eyes to stifle the pin.
Why was my body not healing?
"What did Aston say?" Aiden asked behind me as I leapt. "What did he want?" "Wasn't it obvious?" I asked sarcastically.
And then I felt bad.
After all, Aiden had virtually said my life.
The least I could do was be nice to out.
"I don't mean to offend you." I explained.
He didn't respond to that.
"You killed him." I said. "Wouldn't there be consequences. Aston might have been an asshole but he grew up here and a lot of the wolves here see him as one of their own." "Do I look like I care?" He grunted.
Fair enough.
"But you now have enemies." I pointed out. "Because of me." "Aston had it coming for a long time." Aiden pointed out as he caught me by my waist and lifted me down three broken stairs.
My heart skipped and I felt myself go red.
I didn't like what being around him did to me, or how it even made me feel at all.
