RUBY'S POV
I stood there in utter disbelief.
Unsure of what I believed
Refusing to believe any of it.
The eyes of everyone was on me.
The wolves on the table, the wolves standing guard and the she wolves who stood beside me.
They all stared in disbelief.
I looked at Aiden and we made eye contact again.
"Ruby!" The guard called out my name again.
This time confirming what I had feared was true.
I didn't break contact neither did Aiden.
I just stared on like a dumb fool.
"Ruby. You have been chosen of a task worthy by the soon to be Alpha of the Moonlight pack." The guard announced.
Chosen of a task worthy my foot!
"Step forward." The guard stated.
My fingers numb and my stance in shock, I didn't make a move.
I stood there like an absolute idiot.
All the wolves growled at me in union.
Even the ones beside me.
I was disobeying the one who carried the Alpha's blood hence why they had become aggressive towards me.
