Alex agreed to speak with the High Goblin Lord alone.
"Emily, Petricia, wait outside the room," he said.
Petricia bowed and left at once. She did not even ask if Alex needed a translator.
To her, Alex was a god. Nothing was impossible for him.
She had only translated earlier so Emily could understand.
If Alex ever asked her to translate again, she would think he was giving her a chance to prove her loyalty.
Emily hesitated. She still did not like the idea of leaving him alone.
But she remembered how Alex had looked displeased before, and how the goblin lord had panicked in response.
That memory made her relax a little.
It is only the two of them, she thought.
If a fight broke out, she was sure Alex would win.
The only danger would be if the goblin lord had set up an ambush somewhere.
But in her mind, Alex's system should be able to detect something like that.
"Alright, don't take too long, brother," Emily said. Then she left the room too.
