Duke noticed the sudden silence almost immediately.
"Wifey," he called softly, slowing to a stop beside her. "What are you thinking about?"
Seeing the crease between her brows deepen, he smiled faintly before lifting a hand. His thumb gently brushed across her forehead, slowly massaging away the tension as he waited patiently for her answer.
"Hmmm…" Kisha murmured. "I completely forgot that I caught you a flying mount. With the Golden Eagle, we don't necessarily have to travel to City D by road anymore. We could simply fly straight there."
She fell silent, her thoughts rapidly sorting through every possibility.
