"It just so happened that the seamstresses and tailors at the workshop have successfully finished the sample uniforms you asked us to make, so I came to hear your thoughts about them," her mother-in-law explained with a gentle smile. "Would you mind taking a look and trying them on?"
Even while speaking, she remained standing outside the doorway and made no attempt to step into Kisha and Duke's bedroom without permission.
"Mom, please come in first," Kisha said softly.
Noticing how careful her mother-in-law was about not overstepping boundaries caused Kisha's eyes to soften even more. Although they had already grown quite close over time, the older woman still respected her privacy and personal space, never acting overly familiar or intrusive simply because of their good relationship.
That level of thoughtfulness made Kisha feel warm inside, and she quickly stepped aside to invite her in properly.
