As the movements stopped, so did the little noise that managed to escape from the masked figure. Silence filled what seemed to be somewhat of a cave, though it was difficult to tell at the moment due to the limited light. Brighter light might expose her too much, which was why she only lit a small flame. However nothing of that matter right now. After all, she had just killed a person. The last time that happened had actually been a while, so she was overwhelmed with sadness and empathy.

"Ahah… Haha… Master, my heart is… It's RACING! Taking a life, ending it, with my own hands, for you! I love you! I love you so very much! And showing you that love is my greatest pleasure! The very existence of religion besides ones devoted to you repulses me, but cults… Cults are where I draw the line. Is it not just a failed religion, I ask? If so, do I not have the right, no, the obligation, to erase them in their entirety? The mere existence is an act of defiance, I say. Blasphemy, yes. So for you, I will gladly take care of it! Ah, I'm so happy… To be of such a noble use, I can only wish to come back into your accepting embrace soon… I miss you, so very much… I feel my heart yearning for you… The only thing standing between you and me right now is this place… This corrupt religion, and the task of taking care of it… Haha, it's so simple! Everything down here obviously does not count as part of the religion on the surface, so if I kill everything down here, based on the reaction of everyone on the surface, I will be able to tell who is involved, and then exterminate it completely, to start a new, clean religion. Ah, my heart just keeps on pounding…"

At some point in her inner thoughts, her expression changed from expressionless into melting bliss, panting heavily as she automatically started walking further down the cave. But not before taking the mask of the now revealed man in his forties. Not that she stopped to look. Instead she walked slowly along the narrow and dark path. This seemed to have been the only guard, which was understandable since it was hard to believe anyone from the town would even come down here. Even one was generous. However Yuki would probably have taken care of as many as necessary anyway. After a good ten minutes of walking, she was walking a bit slower to avoid making noise, she arrived at another wooden door, placed in the middle of rocks almost too narrow to pass through normally. Now she of course had not checked if the man from earlier had a key on him, making her plan to disguise with the mask and just walk in unlikely to work, since she felt a presence near the door. She decided to just take the mask as a trophy of sorts, and stored it in her pocket dimension as it would not come to use anymore. The person was close enough to hear the lock being picked if she tried, and they would most likely notice if she blocked out the sound with magic as well. They seemed to be alone, so Yuki had another idea in mind to get through without them having a chance to alarm anyone else. With her tracking ability, she was able to determine that the person was standing at a distance of roughly two meters away from the door. So she would have to get through the door and reach them before they would be able to react.

However no task was too difficult for a Yuki that pictured Yamato's praise as reward, so she hesitated not a second longer and kicked the door in with brute force, immediately rushing to the cultist that had just turned around, ramming her knife into their heart while covering their mouth with her hand to muffle any scream that might echo through the cave. She let out a relieved sigh as she felt his pulse come to a full stop by keeping a her thumb below their jaw while covering their mouth. After all, killing someone and feeling the moment they stopped being alive were two entirely different experiences. Though both excited her, the latter was clearly her favorite.

However her precaution ended up being pointless, as her stealth run had come to a swift end. What she thought to be a continuation of the dark and narrow path she had been following up until now, was now revealed to be a much larger space in the cave, completely lit up with the same kind of crystal that was in the church as well, and with a whole building, or the ruins left of it, in the center on a wide pillar. A stone bridge led from where she was standing, to the ruin across what seemed to be a hole too deep for the light in there to reach the ground. And on said bridge were two more cultists, who did not seemed to be on guard duty but rather just walked there by chance just now. However Yuki should have sensed them at this ranger, which was very irritating to her. After all, she had so much fun playing assassin until now. The two immediately ran back to the ruins where they came from after seeing Yuki, calling out to someone inside which Yuki could not see yet. Deciding that since stealth was over now anyway, she could go all out too, she flew up into the air and down at the two with full force, who to her surprise were able to block, or rather, redirect her trajectory using a simple barrier that rammed her from the side, making her fly next to the bridge down into the abyss below.

An impressive feat for the short reaction time they had, but ultimately useless as it only made her angrier. Just as they were about to reach the end of the bridge, onto the "safe" ruin, an arm punched out of the ground and grabbed one by the ankle, making them fall to the ground. Followed by Yuki pulling herself out of the ground completely, and levitating in the air with her wings and halo visible. The cultist still hanging in the air by their ankle in her hand. She pulled them up only to throw them to the ground head first. They instantly died, hitting the ground with a mix of a cracking and slashing sound, a large pool of blood spreading on the bridge. The second one did not stop for a second, even as their comrade was taken right in front of them, which actually allowed them to get off the bridge in time. Yuki would not just back down now though, so she landed in front of the entrance to the building, letting out a deep sigh before wandering inside.

"Okay, I may have overreacted… I should have asked for Master's view on it first too, but I did not have time, so I guess no point in thinking about it now. I still did not find Iky though, so maybe he wasn't down here after all… Oh well, might as well finish this while I'm down here. They already saw my face now anyway. And I can't count on them being so stupid that they would forget how my gorgeous face looked like by tomorrow, so really, I have no choice but to kill them now."

Yuki tilted the knife to use it as a mirror, looking at her face which had not been touched by a single drop of blood, much to her liking. Though the knife was not as clean anymore, which she did not mind at all. She walked through a long corridor, which had no doors leading to any rooms at the side, so she could only move forward. Finally at the end of the corridor, she reached a door which, since her stealth run was over, she just kicked in. Though to her surprise, it did not break, or show any sign of damage at all. Not interested in finding out why or how, she shot at it using explosive magic, which did not affect the door either, but destroyed the wall around it. As the door fell over onto the ground, Yuki stared through the massive hole in the wall at what appeared to be a altar, maybe ten meters away from her, in the middle of a large room. The ceiling was a dome with old, red pieces of cloth hanging from it spun to the walls like curtains. Around the altar were about 30 people, all gathered in a circle wearing those red robes and porcelain masks, which really repulsed Yuki. So she walked towards them, but was stopped in her tracks by someone wearing a mask out of gold and a black robe. Which she took as their leader. He stepped onto the altar and turned to her.

"It's an honor. We are so proud to welcome you, oh angel of death that came for our sins."

"…"

"What's with him… I hope he slips when he climbs down and snaps his neck. But then I couldn't stab him… Well, I could anyway… It wouldn't be the same though!"

"We stand in this ancient ruin, praying and waiting patiently for your arrival. So please, show mercy and hear our plea."

"…What plea?"

"We ask that you lend us your strength, so we may expand on your glorious self in the minds of all those who cannot see!"

"Ahh…"

"Those guys are gonners, huh. I know I kind of lost it too earlier with the fanaticism… But at least I have a clear deity. Looks to me like those guys just cling to any sort of power and call it part of their pathetic club. And what does that even mean, "Lend my strength"? Like a blessing? Fuck off, all my blessings go to one person and him alone. Although… When life is but a meaningless suffering and illusion of purpose, death sure counts as a blessing. Oh, Master, with your blessing, I will now "bless" them a bunch."

Yuki looked at the group in front of her with an excited expression, berore clapping her hands together and praying for their fortune and eternal happiness, since she valued them so much. And sure enough, the next second, everyone inside the room was blessed with a golden sword shot into their heart from behind, and then they all fell to the ground except the leader.

"There you go! Now, let's have a little chat. You must be dying of gratitude, but please, don't even worry about it. I didn't mind at all~"
