Yang sat on the couch, putting her scroll away after the stream concluded. Whistling, she sat back, looking impressed.
"Damn! Things got interesting while we were away eh?" Yang said, looking across the living room to Ruby, who was eating a plate full of cookies.
"Mmmfh? -I mean.. yeah!" Ruby swallowed and wiped the crumbs off her mouth. "Still though, that dungeon was weird but cool. And ya got that doo-hickey that's armor AND a weapon! You lucked out, Yang."
Ruby pouted as sge folded her arms, making Yang snicker to herself.
"I didn't really MEAN to get this thing but I'm not gonna complain. Besides.. the armor doesn't cover up a whole lot and I'd rather not have my baby sis wear that kinda thing. But next time, I'll look for something we can get you." Yang placated while ruffling her sister's red hair.
"Yes! Oh man.. I hope the rest of the thirteen artifacts are like that... I forgot what the system called them but they sounded really cool."
Yang smirked and looked at her wrist, seeing the golden bracelet with a purple jewel sitting in the center, like a watchful eye. She hadn't put it back in her inventory, as it suited her, appearance wise. Yang raised it up to the light and muttered to herself while thinking back to something the system said at the start of their little quest through the dungeon door.
"The artifact of balance, Witchblade huh?"
-Three days prior-
"Pleaaaaaaaase!" Ruby clung to Yang's waist, face buried in her admittedly hard abs as Yang walked to the back of their house.
"You really wanna join that bad? I'm doing this to up my game and catch up with Yin. Why do you wanna come?" Yang sighed, picking her sister up off her and setting her straight.
"You and Yin got to see Devils, Vampires, fox ladies and a whole bunch of other cool stuff. And weapons! You gotta bring me! Plus, I've been training too, Yang!" Ruby exclaimed, flexing her not so impressive arms.
"Pff~" Yang hid her face as she snorted.
"Well.. I guess we can try. I've been spending time training here and I think I'm ready to put it all to the test with that dungeon we found a few weeks ago. But if it's too dangerous I WILL take us back. Deal?" Yang held her pinkie out to Ruby with a carefree grin.
"Done!" Ruby hooked her pinkie around Yang's and they shook on it.
"Eh.. is that why you told Mom and Dad you were going on a trip with your friend for a few days?" Ruby quietly asked as she looked back at their house, knowing their parents were inside.
"Yes~ And I bribed my friends, just in case they came looking. Now, go on in and give Dad the puppy eyes so he'll let you come."
Ruby stood straight and saluted before using her semblance to quickly rush back into their home.
Of course, their Dad folded pretty quickly. As there was no real reason to deny a supposed trip to Vale for a few days. After returning to Yang, the sisters trekked through the forest until they came upon the dungeon door. On the door was the symbol of both Yin and Yang, signifying either sibling could freely go in.
As soon as Yang touched it, her system notified her with a message.
[Dungeon: Top Cow universe. Quest initiating... Sequence: Witchblade. Objective: Save Masane Amaha and Rihoko Amaha from a tragic fate. Be aware- the thirteen artifacts are weapons of great power and are capable of hurting Yin and Yang. Do not be careless, kay~?]
After a brief flash of light, the sisters found themselves in an entirely different location. It was night and they seemed to be in the middle of a city, much like Vale. It reminded Yang vaguely of Kyoto but more modern.
"Woah.. Wait what was that about cow? And artifacts?" Ruby asked while looking around as her eyes adjusted to the low light.
Yang shrugged and took a look around at where they ended up. It looked to be some sort of walled facility they were outside of. Though their sudden emergence didn't go unnoticed.
"Woah.. did you just appear outta thin air?" A gruff, skinny man with a goatee asked from above them.
He was sitting on a branch with a camera around his neck, looking incredulously at them. Ruby's sudden question had caught him by surprise and alerted him to their sudden appearance.
Yang sighed and ran her hand through her long hair. As she was about to answer, they heard a little girl's yelp before what looked to be a six year old girl landed in Yang's arms.
"Th-Thank you, Miss. Did I hurt you at all?" The little girl asked after breathing a sigh of relief.
"Er.. no. Wow, things are happening fast.." Yang muttered while setting the girl down.
Ruby nodded emphatically before coughing to herself.
"Soooo.. what's going on here? Why'd this kid jump out of a window? And is this guy taking pervy pictures?"
The man with the camera scoffed at that, "Pervy? Hell no. I'm investigating the NSWF."
Yang and Ruby looked at each other with raised brows.
"Ya mean Not Safe For Work? You should have come up with a better name for your perv cover story, Shady camera-man." Yang snorted.
"Ergh.. no it's-" "Rihoko! Rihiko, where are you!? Rihoko!" A woman called out from an open window three floors up.
Yang immediately made the connection, looking at the anxious kid in front of her with a hint of concern.
"Please, you gotta help me. Do you guys have a car?" Rihoko pleaded.
The camera guy scratched the back of his head, "Uh yeah.. so what?"
Before she could reply, a security guard made himself known, shining his flashlight down the area. But before they were exposed, Yang grabbed them both and leapt over the seven-foot wall while Ruby used her semblance to hop over with ease.
"Holy crap.. what'd you just do?" The camera man asked in awe, sharing a bewildered look with Rihoko.
"No time to explain all that. Hey, Rihoko? Do you have a Mom named Masane?" Yang cut to the point, feeling a deep sense of tension settle in her gut.
"Huh!? You know my Mom!? She's supposed to be in South Asakaya detention center.." Rihoko looked up at Yang hopefully.
"The friggin' jail? Jeez, kid.." The camera man murmured to himself before refocusing on the two strange girls who rescued him.
"I know this is a lot and I can see you're curious but we kinda need to rescue her Mom. The faster, the better. So can you drive us? I promise to answer your questions and all after we help her." Yang offered sincerely.
Rihoko took Yang's hand and gave the man a pleading look while Ruby gave him her signature 'puppy eyes'. The man dragged his hand down his face and grunted. He was looking for a huge scoop and this? He pretty much struck gold in that regard. He was pretty sure the two girls were superhuman and a display of their abilities or even an interview could see him rich as Hell.
"Ah hell.. okay, fine. Follow me. My car's a block away." He acquiesced, walking ahead as Yang smirked at Rihoko and walked with her and Ruby.
"Thank you.." Rihoko said quietly while giving Yang a smile.
"Aww.. no problem, kiddo. We'll get your Mom, don't sweat!" Yang assured, feeling Rihoko squeeze her hand.
'Aw. She's gonna awaken some maternal instincts in me if she keeps this up.'
After they got in the car, the camera man introduced himself as Yusuke Togawa. A freelance photographer who made a name for himself after taking a breathtaking picture of the disastrous earthquake that sunk the Tokyo central area seven years prior.
By the time he finished explaining who he was and exchanging names with Ruby and Yang, the car had parked outside the police station.
"Well, we're here. Yang and I can head in and scope the place out. But the kid should stay in the car with Ruby." Yusuke advised, already seeing the worry on Rihoko's face.
"But-" "No, he's right. I feel something strange.. malicious, even. And an even stronger, dormant thing. Lemme take care of this, Rihoko. I promise, I'll bring your Mom back okay?" Yang turned back, patting the little girl's head with a reassuring smile.
"Er.. Yeah! Riko, how about we talk about your Mom while we wait? I wanna hear all about her!" Ruby grabbed Rihoko's attention, trying to distract the oddly mature six year old from worrying about her Mom.
"Hehe~ Thanks, Rubes. Be back in a few!" Yang and Yusuke exited the car.
Giving him a particular look, Yang gestured to the side of the jail.
"Come on, I feel it this way." Yang stated before running over to the area where the cells should be, leaving the photographer in the dust.
"Woah wait up!"
*CRASH!!*
The sound of solid concrete exploding filled the area ahead. Yang wasted no time in leaping into the action. An alarm resounded from within the police station after the sudden explosion blew straight through the concrete wall, filling the alley with smoke.
"Ooookay.. let's see what we got here.." Yang muttered as she walked into the alley, seeing a female silhouette through the smoke.
Whatever Yang had expected, it wasn't this. A red haired woman with purple facial markings going from her collar bones up to below her eyes, her eyes a glowing yellow with black sclera and the most prominent thing about her? Her armor, which only seemed to cover up her limbs while hugging her large breasts and covering up her crotch with a strip of armor. Her armored arms had sharp claws and blades attached to her forearms, while her heels also had extendable blades.
"Wow.. Rarely do I see anything that... risque. Or boobs as big as mine and Yin's.." Yang whistled, carefree even as the woman's glowing yellow eyes fixated on her.
"You... You do it for me~! MMMmmmm... I don't know what it is... but you feel so..." The woman blushed, letting her fingers glide down her face as she licked her lips.
*CLAAANG!!*
The woman lunged forward, far faster than any human should be capable of and swung her bladed arm at Yang, who quickly summoned Ember Celica from her inventory and blocked it. The force of the blow cracking the pavement open as she tried to push the blade down and cut Yang.
"I'd say you're lookin' 'sharp' in that outfit but that pun feels way too obvious." Yang smirked, shoving away her blade and punching the woman in her unprotected gut, just hard enough to push her back by several meters.
"Yes...!! Yes! Show me more!" Despite the pain, the woman seemed enraptured. Blood red blades sprout forth from her hair and struck at Yang as she full sprinted at her in excitement.
Yang grinned and batted the incoming bladed hair tips and braced as the woman tried to tackle her. Instead, she caught the redhead and lifted her up before driving her back into the pavement with a textbook powerbomb.
"Hey now! Don't get too excited! That thing doesn't really do a great job at protecting your vitals, you know?"
While Yang was having fun, Yusuke was slack-jawed as he snapped picture after picture. Having something straight out of an anime play out in front of him was almost inconcievable to him but he wasn't one to waste an opportunity.
"Ghaa!" The woman cried out as her body slammed into the concrete. Though it didn't seem nearly enough to put her out of commission.
If anything, she looked down bad to keep fighting. Her panting and lip-licking made Yang dumbfounded.
"I've heard of battle-lust before.. even seen my sis lost in it. But this? This is.." Yang shook her head ruefully as she moved back, avoiding a bladed-heel dropkick.
The woman didn't even answer either. It seemed the more 'lustful' she was, the more out of control she acted. As if she were possessed.
"Aaaaaah!!" The woman yelled, either in rage or lust (Yang couldn't tell at this point) and swung at her with reckless abandon.
Her movements lacked any real skill and relied solely on instinct. She was like a powerful beast, steadily growing stronger physically but lacking all control and reason. As much fun as Yang felt, testing her, she was fairly sure this was Rihoko's mom and needed to put a stop to her rampage before she could bring her back to her daughter.
*CRACK!*
Seeing an opening, Yang pressed her hand into Masane's chest after dodging an attempted stab and slammed her into the wall hard enough to demolish the concrete. This, seemed to do the job, as Masane's head lulled forward as her red hair, face markings and armor retracted as her eyes rolled back.
"Hehe~ Job done.. I just hope she's not too busted up.. I went pretty easy on her." Yang muttered as she hoisted the busty woman up.
*Grab*
Yang felt Masane's hand grab onto her arm, despite being unconscious. The silver bracelet with a red, eye-like jewel in the center detached itself from Masane's wrist and attached itself to Yang. The sudden move made Yang blink before she got a notification.
[Artifact: Witchblade (Balance) acquired! (Incomplete compatability)]
"When it said it could hurt sis and I, I kinda thought I'd be in for a tough fight.." Yang mumbled in disbelief and disappointment.
"Oh well! I can deal with all that afterwards. Time to get you back to your adorable kid, lady~" Yang spoke to the unconscious Masane as she carried her in her arms and walked back over to the car.
"Holy shit, lady.. What are you?" Yusuke Tozawa asked as she passed him by.
"I told ya.. Come back with us and I'll answer any questions you got. You got a place, right?" Yang replied as they returned to the car, seeing Rihoko effectively distracted by Ruby.
"Yup. Hope you don't mind staying up a bit longer though."
As they got in the car, a man in a suit walked out from the alley and quickly entered a black sedan while talking quietly into his phone.
"Yes, sir.. The Witchblade seems to have switched hosts. I'll send the video of their fight over now." The man stated as he followed far behind Yusuke's car.
[AN: Hope you enjoy the Yang chap. I plan to do these sporadically between the regular chaps. Unless you want em all in one go? Lemme know! And here's some Yang in the Witchblade~]
