25 hours later, inside a residential house.
Crack, crack.
The crisp sound filtered into the little assistant's ears. Her eyelids twitched as she lay on the bed. She felt a faint sting in her lower abdomen, but at least it no longer affected her in combat, which brought a smile to her face.
"So noisy…"
The little assistant was still a bit groggy. Her hand lifted from under the blanket, the soft quilt slipping down, and that fair arm wrapped in bandages hung over the edge of the bed.
A moment later, the little assistant's snoring became even. This warm, dry bed made her reluctant to open her eyes.
Crack, crack…
There it was again, that strange sound, and the little assistant's brows furrowed.
Bang!
The bed beneath the little assistant suddenly collapsed to one side. Her expression froze in mild shock. A moment later, she heard claws scrabbling on the floor, then something seemed to shake its fur.
