Chapter 5635 - Chapter 4660: The Whitest Day (80)

After enduring rounds of gossip involving untold numbers of people across two multiverses, this multiverse crisis finally started to gain some attention. Although Shiller could see from their expressions that most people were still absorbed in domestic dramas and hadn't snapped out, the most crucial ones—like Batman, Batman, and Batman—had already turned their gaze to the Origin Wall.

Shiller had no idea how to disassemble this string of candied fruit sticks. He brought people here to save the Kingdom of Dreams. But to continually divert Lucifer's attention, he had no choice but to say, "The Marvel Mages might have some insights on this, but I think the Justice League can come up with a better plan, given the locals have more understanding."

Speaking of the Justice League, Lucifer inevitably had to look at The First Lantern again because he was the one who brought the Justice League here, which was precisely Shiller's goal. Take a good look at The First Lantern, doesn't he seem somewhat familiar to you?

"We have a plan," The First Lantern said, "The power of the emotional spectrum can have a certain impact on the Origin Wall. Among them, the Black Lamp Power controlled by the Black Death Emperor seems able to release things from the Origin Wall, and we intend to use this."

"Really? Are you planning to cooperate with the Black Death Emperor?" Lucifer said sarcastically, "Beg him to bring the Earth down?"

Shiller was utterly speechless. In terms of arrogance, Shiller was nothing compared to Lucifer. This guy is just ridiculously arrogant. Clearly, he doesn't even have a method to disassemble Earth completely, yet he looks down on others.

"Using the power of the Black Death Emperor doesn't necessarily require his consent. After all, the Lantern Beast isn't the will of the emotional spectrum, they merely exist and cannot control it. The best carriers of the emotional spectrum are emotional life forms. If not for this, the Guardians of the Universe wouldn't recruit Lamp heroes throughout the universe.

"My idea is, we need to find someone to carry the Black Lamp Power and become a Black Lamp Follower. After absorbing all the scattered Black Lamp Power, he will have the means to pry things from the Origin Wall.

"And since the Black Death Emperor cannot move now, he can't control the Black Lamp Followers, making this power-absorbing individual safe. Once the Earth is brought down, we can use the force of his existence spirit to dispel the Black Lamp Power inside him, without causing him any harm."

Shiller thought that this plan was rather reliable. What is already known is that the Black Lamp Power can indeed influence the stickiness of the Origin Wall. And since the Black Death Emperor can't move, borrowing a bit of his power to pry the Earth down is both convenient and safe.

"Who do you want to make this Black Lamp Follower? It's not going to be you, is it?"

"Mr. Satan, if you know a little about the emotional spectrum, you should understand that not everyone can wield the power of the emotional spectrum, each type of power has different requirements. And the Black Lamp Power must be used by a corpse that has died once."

"Ha, that's precisely my point. Where are you going to find such a corpse, are you going to kill someone on the spot?"

Shiller really was a bit speechless. Lucifer truly treats heaven like his home, going back just for lodging, without working at all. If he paid even a little attention to the dynamics within the multiverse and glanced at the monitors, he would know what's happening in the Movie Universe. The Cyborg and Green Lantern from the Universe of Henry Chao certainly meet the criteria, even Superman could qualify, accomplishing this without any difficulty.

"I'm afraid the answer will disappoint you, Mr. Satan. Completing this doesn't require killing anyone. In fact, we already have a candidate. But I'm curious, why are you appearing here? Waiting to harvest souls from Earth?"

"What would I need souls for?" Lucifer grumbled more, "You don't think I'm the kind of savage demon that needs to chew human souls raw to gain strength, do you? Have you never heard of Lucifer Morningstar?

At that moment, Shiller saw a flicker of reminiscence on Anatoli's face. Then he realized that when Anatoli met Lucifer years ago, Lucifer must have been just like this.

But it's not surprising. A person doesn't change much over the span of two or three days. Even if these are the most tumultuous days in his life, it's still not enough to completely transform into a different person.

"Thank you for telling me your name, Mr. Morning Star."

Lucifer paused for a moment, then frowned in disgust and said, "Don't call me that."

Shiller had never called Lucifer that before, so he didn't know if Lucifer just disliked the surname or just didn't like The First Lantern calling him that.

"Then what should I call you? Mr. Yahweh?"

Lucifer's wings spread open again. Shiller was somewhat speechless towards Anatoli. Knowing you don't believe in God at all, but what on earth is "Mr. Yahweh"? Yahweh is not a surname, even if Lucifer is his son, he couldn't possibly have that last name. This was just repeatedly stomping on monotheistic taboos.

Visibly, Lucifer was genuinely enraged, just held back from acting because Shiller was present. The speculation about other personality traits was indeed correct; with Shiller here, Lucifer wouldn't act rashly.

Just as Shiller was about to say something to appease Lucifer, there was suddenly some commotion near the Origin Wall. Everyone turned to look, seeing a massive black shadow suddenly gush out from a dark passage. Due to its overwhelming momentum and speed, it couldn't brake in time and slammed straight into the Origin Wall.

Shiller slapped his forehead. He was too caught up in the commotion and forgot about Barbados. As the Dark Power spread, those who had been gathered around to watch fled like birds and beasts.

After all, Barbados is, at the very least, a Dark Dragon. The impact against the Origin Wall didn't affect it much, and except for getting stuck, he was fine too. But the mere aftershock was enough to trigger a massive dark matter tsunami.

Magneto acted swiftly, stepping in front of everyone with a flash, using his Shield to block most of the impact. Yet, the remainder still sent the Justice League crashing, scattering their formation completely.

Originally, both groups were standing on either side watching, but now they were all gathered together. However, Shiller wasn't with them. Lucifer and the First Lantern were standing at the forefront, and with him standing beside them, he naturally was at the front too, completely out of sync with the rear troops.

At the moment of impact, Lucifer instinctively waved his wing to push Shiller backward, but the First Lantern also instinctively pulled Shiller behind him. The two stood in different directions, and the forces canceled each other out, causing neither to shield Shiller as he was sent flying.

This time the tower wasn't just shaking, it almost took off right there. The whole tower shook violently, knocking everyone off their feet. Shiller cursed Reed inwardly; if it weren't for his meddling with that darn crystal, he wouldn't be so unlucky!

He had been talking about Batman, but now it turned out, he was the Multiverse's greatest unlucky guy!

There were other personas too. If they had stayed in their rooms, with the superego watching closely, it wouldn't have been so serious. Even if the normal state had issues, the pathological state could emerge from the abyss to temporarily take over the tower, preventing any problems. But now, with the tower in a frenzy, all personas including the pathological one were inside, and with such a sway, everyone was tossed around, unable to get up.

"Shiller!!!!!!"

Two angry shouts rang out simultaneously. Lucifer and the First Lantern rushed over at top speed. Lucifer reached out to help Shiller but found the First Lantern intended to do the same. He angrily waved his wing, directly knocking the First Lantern away: "Get lost!!!"

The First Lantern's face darkened as a beam of white light struck Lucifer's wing. Lucifer was shocked; how dare he!

Lucifer was about to retaliate but realized Shiller was already unconscious, forcing himself to hold back and shouted to the crowd beside, "Charles, go check the tower!"

Charles was already on his way, but he wasn't the first to arrive. The first to arrive was Anatoli. As Shiller's attending doctor, he knew that under normal circumstances, Shiller wouldn't pass out since if the normal state failed, the pathological one could take over. Unless both were down.

Sure enough, as soon as he reached the tower, he saw Shiller lying all over the place. Anatoli gasped sharply.

When Charles arrived, his gaze wasn't friendly. In the background story Shiller provided them, he hid most of his relationship with Anatoli, making it seem as though Shiller was implicated by the dispute between Anatoli and Lucifer.

Strange arriving later didn't even glance at him, directly approaching to check on Shiller's condition.

Anatoli didn't have time to deal with them as he had discovered a more fundamental problem — the tower seemed to have developed a crack.

He looked up towards the walls above. At the very top of the tower near the surface consciousness, a slight crack appeared. Though not very severe, it didn't affect the overall structure. But considering the tower isn't a real building but represents Shiller's mental realm, it's a big deal.

Of course, it wasn't the first time the tower exploded. It had blown up before, especially the newer sections built over the years never stabilized. But Anatoli didn't know.

When he flew up and saw the crack, he was stunned. His professional concern led him to excessively exaggerate the severity of the matter, even considering the collapse of the tower. What happened after Shiller's last tower collapsed?

Anatoli stared at the crack with trembling fingertips. At this moment, Charles flew up as well. He was more optimistic, carefully examining the crack and said: "The problem should be minor. I'll try to patch it up first, and he can fix the rest himself later."

Just as Anatoli was about to calm down, Lucifer flew over. Although Lucifer lacked any professional expertise in this area, his temper was fiery.

Seeing the crack, he abruptly spun in mid-air, flinging Anatoli to the ground with a flap of his wing, then flashed in front of him, grasping his neck.

Lucifer's eyes had turned completely crimson, surrounded by hell's blaze. The main universe's Batman rushed in shouting urgently: "Clark!"

The main universe Superman flew into the air, accelerating to the extreme, crashing into Lucifer's waist side, clutching him and flying out, hitting the tower wall. Charles stepped forward to pull Anatoli up.

Lucifer quickly broke free from the main universe Superman's hold, winging his way over again. Charles widened his eyes, launching a full-force attack, a tangible mental strike hitting Lucifer. Caught off guard and stabbed by Charles, he screamed and fell.

Charles intended to pursue further, but Anatoli urgently shouted: "Stop!"
