To say or not to say, Batman's mentality is quite good. Or maybe a bit too good. From their departure from the Prime Universe until now, this journey has been nothing short of disastrous.
Originally, they were going to deal with the Multiverse crisis brought by the Black Death Emperor. But it turns out, the Multiverse crisis wasn't even caused by the Black Death Emperor. You could say that if they hadn't gone, Bruce, along with the Black Death Emperor and Darkseid, would have ended up hanging on the wall. It would have been a scenario where the Multiverse would rejoice, eliminating three major threats in one go; the Multiverse Justice League could laugh awake from a dream.
Going was fine since they weren't entirely unprepared. They knew this nameless bat would cause trouble, and Joker Jack had to be summoned to match against it. The escape routes were well planned, in case something went wrong in the reality universe, they would retreat to the Kingdom of Dreams. It was a plan to attack when advancing and defend when retreating, but the Kingdom of Dreams was polluted by the Black Death Emperor.
Even so, Batman still had means. A strategy of driving away the tiger and swallowing the wolf, using the mental pollution of an Outer God to tackle the Power of Death, they could have dominated the Spirit Domain. But who knew Anatoli returned suddenly, scaring the Outer God away.
This Nya probably practiced this many times and fled cleanly. Not only did they drag family along, but they also tidied up their belongings without leaving much power, insufficient to shelter Batman, let alone repel the Power of Death.
Even so, the Batmen did not intend to give up. They crossed paths and reached the Fusion Universe, contacting the most powerful mind power user, Professor X.
And they weren't there seeking shelter; they were there to organize allies for a counterattack. Seeing that the local Professor X was weak and unable to awaken the Sleep Demon, they simply stormed the Temple of Eternity, bringing Eternity to take them to the adjacent great world.
The Batmen knew, of course, that their sudden arrival would definitely cause alertness here. The Supreme Magician isn't known for having a good temper; things could easily escalate into a confrontation, finding no allies but instead adding a bunch of enemies.
However, Batmen are always prescient. They knew Greed would welcome their arrival, and he has quite a say in this universe, skilled at making others have no choice. The Supreme Magician, upon seeing their arrival, will surely find Greed first, minimizing the chance of conflict. The other party will treat them with courtesy, and they can discuss cooperation.
But who knew, also because of Anatoli's return, Strange went into the tower to find Greed and got elbowed out, momentarily unable to connect with Greed. Strange dared not let Batman roam free and had to first invite them into David's mind.
That place is really not safe. Be aware, David himself is an Omega Level Mutant. Although most personalities have separated from the body, David is set to continuously generate new personalities. It wasn't long before yet another personality emerged. Rather than inviting them as guests, it was more like finding a place to lock them up, and the prison isn't very secure.
It can be said that throughout this journey, Batman had plans for everything, but nothing kept up with the changes. His mind turned quickly, execution filled, but it's just that his luck was really too bad, making it seem like God's big hand acted again.
Yet even so, Batman still didn't give up. He didn't even plan to step back to ensure his safety first, constantly trying to save the Multiverse. That's why, despite various powerful characters coming and going, Batman remains the paternal figure of DC.
Shiller reflects on Batman's journey and sees through his stubborn nature. It is because the goal has never changed, not intending to bow to this shitty reality, that he seems to have a good mindset, still able to sit here and listen to such a long backstory.
"Let's organize some manpower," Shiller straightforwardly says, "Batman insisting on going through the plot already delayed a lot of time. What's unavoidable here must be compensated for elsewhere. I'll go talk to Strange and have him find a few experts to wake up the Sleep Demon and clean up the mess in the Kingdom of Dreams."
After speaking, he stood up to leave, but the Prime Universe Batman quickly called him and said, "Wait a minute, our current goal is not just to solve the problem of the Kingdom of Dreams."
Shiller then remembered, that string of candied fruits was still hanging on the Origin Wall. However, he shook his head and said, "No need to worry about that, the First Lantern will think of a way to solve this problem."
The Prime Universe Batman squinted: "How does he plan to solve it?"
Indeed, he greatly admires the First Lantern's character. But judging from the backstory, the way this guy solves problems is rather sensational. If only the Black Death Emperor and Darkseid were on the wall, Batman wouldn't even ask, but there's an Earth on it. Even if it's Bruce's bastard Earth's, it needs to be well protected, can't let them get blown up.
"Don't worry, I've already disabled his big cannon," Shiller said, "so the plan to blow the Earth down is surely off the table..."
"He really planned to blow it up?"
Arkham Batman looked at Shiller and asked, "How do you know where his big cannon is? What is your relationship with him?"
"Can you stop asking?" Shiller said, "If I finish telling this story, there's no need to save the Kingdom of Dreams anymore, you just wait for the Black Death Emperor to unify the Multiverse."
Before Batman could say anything, Shiller started talking about business: "Saving the Kingdom of Dreams is very important. Because if the First Lantern brings those things down—I mean bring them all down, as it seems now, may only completely bring them down—after Black Death Emperor regains consciousness, the pollution will expand very fast, possibly instantly devouring the entire Kingdom of Dreams, even directly polluting people's minds from there. By then, the entire Multiverse would be zombified."
Arkham Batman tapped his fingers on the table, he said, "We certainly considered this. Originally we intended to first solve the problem of the Kingdom of Dreams and then take those things down. But we cannot come here again to gather manpower, so it's best to summon everyone at once."
Shiller didn't refute this point, he just said, "The number of people we can send doesn't depend on how many we need, but on how many they can spare. And you know, the Multiverse war was happening on this side, and the compatibility issues here have already been resolved. But that might not be the case on your side. Superheroes from here, once they're over there, will be somewhat weakened or may not even be compatible. This is a major issue as well."
"Can't Lucifer speed it up?"
"I'm not sure if he has the time to speed it up right now." Shiller shook his head and said, "But I'll send him a message and ask."
Shiller thought that having Lucifer hurry up with the work would be good since he wouldn't notice Anatoli's return for a while, which would help in figuring out what Anatoli was up to.
Shiller sent a message to Lucifer first. Without waiting for a reply, he went to find Strange to count the manpower.
"It's not a matter of whether or not you send people now, but how many you're going to send." Shiller said standing in the principal's office at the Magic Academy, "You don't want Batman to stay here forever, do you?"
Strange, sitting on the chair, shook his head and said, "If I could, I wish the crisis would be resolved the next second, and they would immediately scram. But the question is, how do we resolve it?"
"First, we have to awaken the Sleep Demon."
"That's the issue." Strange pointed his fingers vigorously on the table, "Our Magicians are completely different from the ones next door. The methods that work here might not work over there."
Shiller thought for a moment and asked, "In such situations, what do you usually do?"
"There wouldn't be such a situation." Strange emphasized, "Our Demon Gods here, if they dared to sleep like that, The Ancient One would have dismembered them long ago. Even the laziest Setorak, if a human enters the Crimson Dimension, he would wake up instantly."
Shiller was speechless for a moment, thinking that it might indeed be true. Marvel's Demon Gods are relatively industrious, working 24/7 without rest. Even abstract entities like Infinity and Oblivion, while said to be asleep, are actually in automatic operating mode and can wake up at any time to take manual control. In the worst case, they'd wake up if you throw an alarm clock in.
But the Sleep Demon is completely different. Charles has searched there broadly several times, even the elderly Professor X has tried. In fact, Joseph inadvertently made eye contact with him, which can be considered a form of invasion, and quite a strong one. So many powerful mind power users went to wake him up, but he still wouldn't wake up. Shiller even suspected he might be dead asleep.
Strange was clearly troubled, leaning with both hands on the table, tilting his head in thought, and after a while, he said, "Did you bring Constantine?"
"Yes, the most professional one."
"Ah, of course, I've met him, the one with black hair. Call him in, I need to understand what's going on."
Shiller nodded. Soon, Constantine walked into Strange's office. While the two magicians were studying solutions, Shiller went with Charles to the mutant's school.
Not many people were in the school, most were in the Andromeda Galaxy or Crux. Charles sat down in his office and said, "Mutants definitely have to go. Helping Batman is beneficial for us too, his wisdom is a treasure of the universe, and I really want to hear his views on mutant development. But we must first solve the current trouble."
"Who do you plan to send? Scarlet Witch?"
Charles shook his head and said, "Wanda's use of Chaotic Power may not be compatible, so it's best not to. But the Cosmic Basic Force that Erik and Lorna control should not differ between the two universes. Therefore, I think they should go."
Shiller nodded, he agreed with Charles. Sending these two mutants should suffice, after all, there isn't just one Magneto in the Multiverse, and one Magneto can do quite a lot, at least during Earth's extraction process, they can ensure Earth's safety.
"Who else do you think would be a good choice?" Shiller asked, "How about the Aesir?"
"Not really." Charles said, "Their Divine Power does come from themselves, but their interference with the rules of the universe is very limited; dealing with this issue might be quite insufficient. But I think you could consider looking for those scientists and see if they can come up with a relatively stable solution."
"I think you might have some misunderstanding about the scientists on your side." Shiller said, "None of them could be considered stable."
