It can be said that Injustice Superman has now been pushed to the edge of the cliff. Night Owl is only targeted by Justice Batman. Supermen do not interfere in the internal struggles of the Batman group, and most Batmen are in a neutral state. So actually, Night Owl only has to deal with that small group led by the Primary Universe Batman.
But even then, the pressure on him is explosive. In the end, he was even chased to the point of fleeing in embarrassment in his own universe, having no choice but to use his trump card to save himself.
Now, Injustice Superman has offended everyone in the Justice League's big three all at once. The Batmen cannot accept his brain-controlling Batman behavior, Superman finds it incredibly evil, and Wonder Women, who are protective, feel that their sister was killed by him. And because his reputation has long been tarnished, there's no way to clear it now, even if jumping into the Yellow River.
If this continues, Injustice Superman absolutely has no way out. Batman and Superman may not kill, but Wonder Woman certainly might. Moreover, ignoring these superheroes, if supervillains like Joker knew he directly brain-controlled Batman, he'd be doomed.
If Joker found out about this, it would definitely be Level 1 capturing Level 2 transitioning to Level 3 capturing, and he'd be unstoppable, giving the jungle, the defense towers, even the home, and the Miracle Walker wouldn't even clear the jungle. Today, you must experience what it means to be a behind-the-scenes manipulator.
Injustice Superman indeed has somewhat of a post-traumatic stress disorder about killing Joker. If any Batman jumped out to stop him, he couldn't guarantee his hand wouldn't tremble and accidentally kill the opponent, which would indeed cause all the bats to emerge.
To prevent the situation from developing into such a terrifying state, he had to think of a way to pass the blame. However, he was famous across the Multiverse, and no one was worse than him. Pinning such things on those Justice Supermen was definitely futile unless he found someone who already had a dark history.
Super霸, though not particularly powerful, is quite famous in the Multiverse. After all, he carries Kryptonite with him, causing any ordinary Superman to avoid him, along with their universe's state of reversed good and evil, making him barely able to compete with the current Injustice Superman.
But the premise of scapegoating is that the other party must have the ability to act. Super霸 laid low after being cursed by Night Owl and can't even get out of bed, nor can he casually approach Kryptonite, watching as life slips away, and the curse can only be lifted by Night Owl.
Injustice Superman was greatly troubled. He had no choice but to pick up the tablet, watching the video several more times. Even to pass the blame, he had to save Night Owl, help him lift the curse on Super霸, and then let Super霸 form the Evil Superman Alliance, only then could he safely pass the blame.
But seeing it again and again yielded no results, his super brain nearly overheated, failing to think of any clues. Ultimately, the image is simply too brief.
So Injustice Superman asked: "Why is it only three seconds long?"
Super Queen thought about it and said: "Maybe the other side has some kind of interference wave tactic; anyway, the signal was lost after the video ended."
"Then this..."
He hadn't finished speaking when an ear-piercing alarm sounded from downstairs at the base. Super Queen immediately stood up.
"What's going on?" Injustice Superman asked.
"Damn," Super Queen merely cursed without explaining, grabbing her lasso and heading downstairs.
The two Supermen exchanged a glance and followed her downstairs. While descending, they vaguely saw a figure standing in front of the base's gate, but before they could ascertain the situation, a lightning strike came down.
With a crack, it scorched a large hole in the floor. Both Supermen froze. Whose subordinate is this?
Then they heard a roar: "'Zansha (Mazahs)!'"
Another lightning strike descended, narrowly missing Lord Superman. Lord Superman's face darkened immediately, but upon seeing this person's appearance, he couldn't help but be taken aback.
The opponent was a strong man with flamboyant red hair, clad in a tight uniform, wearing a helmet, typical of a superhero look. The issue was that he looked exactly like Alexander Luther.
"Inverted Universe, remember?" Injustice Superman said.
"But this is too inverted," Lord Superman couldn't help but say, "And what's 'Zansha'? Is it 'Shazam' spelled backward?"
"Be careful," Super Queen, walking in front, advised, "This guy possesses the power of gods and can absorb all the Superpowers of those he kills. He's already killed quite a few while with us, making him strong."
Injustice Superman opened his mouth; he didn't even know where to start criticizing. But the good news was, this Inverted Universe was truly inverted—though Lex Luther gained powerful Superpowers, he seemed to have lost his prized smart brain.
The good news was, in this universe, the two Supermen were considered some of the smartest and most effective users of super brains.
This non-bald Luther charged forward to fight with Super Queen, and the two Supermen hurriedly backed away; they didn't want to engage in this battle—it was just too weird to fight with Luther.
Yet, Luther hadn't come alone. Just as the two Supermen moved to the back near the glass, a silhouette crashed through the window, and the Lasso of Truth seized the moment to tie up Injustice Superman.
The moment Injustice Superman saw the face of Main Universe Wonder Woman, he knew: it was all over.
Without waiting for Wonder Woman to ask, he directly said: "I didn't kill the Wonder Woman from my universe."
His straightforwardness left Wonder Woman stunned. Looking at the tightly bound Lasso of Truth around him, knowing he couldn't lie, Wonder Woman was at a loss for words.
"Don't be deceived by him," Diana walked in and said, "He can trick Batman, he might be able to trick the lasso too."
"What I'm saying is true," Injustice Superman's super brain began operating at full capacity again, "If you have any understanding of my universe, you should know Diana has always firmly stood by my side. For a long time, she was my only support and reliance. I have no reason to kill her."
"Then why did you lock her up?" Diana asked.
"She..." Injustice Superman was also at a loss for how to explain. He couldn't possibly say that Wonder Woman from their universe was crazy, right?
After Injustice Superman's super brain started operating, he could clearly see how abnormally Wonder Woman from his universe behaved, constantly inciting discord. It was simply detrimental and not beneficial, akin to madness.
However, if he tried to explain using this reason, it would sound like slander. Main Universe Wonder Woman might become furious, making things even more serious.
"Wonder Woman, even if you don't believe me, you should trust your own abilities," Injustice Superman said, "Your lasso is binding me; you should clearly know whether I am lying."
Main Universe Wonder Woman focused and looked at Injustice Superman, saying, "Repeat, have you ever killed Wonder Woman?"
"Never," Injustice Superman said firmly.
"Fine, then, after you confined her, why didn't you ensure her safety? You let her die in the confinement."
"That was entirely my negligence," Injustice Superman said, "But the murderer definitely acted when I came to this universe, just to frame all of this on me."
"Why would he need to do that? Aren't you wicked enough?"
Injustice Superman couldn't answer either. He couldn't figure out what ulterior motives were driving the behind-the-scenes manipulator who killed Wonder Woman. His reputation was already ruined, was it necessary to go such lengths? Killing Wonder Woman wouldn't be more evil than mind-controlling Batman, would it?
Suddenly, Injustice Superman seemed to realize something. He sharply turned to look at Diana—he recognized that this Diana was Wonder Woman from Bruce's universe.
And the Superman who just messaged him, saying Wonder Woman was dead, was also the Superman from Bruce's universe.
Injustice Superman felt cold sweat enveloping his body instantaneously. He stared fixedly at Diana, and realized that this woman had a kind of divine compassion different from other Wonder Women, unwavering and inexorable. When she pierced Batman's heart with a sword, she had this same expression, as if she was inherently meant to be a judge, mercifully accepting each sinner fallen by judgment.
Diana was also watching him, her Greek lineage manifesting in the classical arc formed by her eyes, an expression never resembling the thin clouds in the sky, but rather weighty like the earth, silent, profound, and compassionate.
In just that moment of distraction, Injustice Superman missed the best opportunity to expose her. He couldn't help but curse inwardly: How are the people in this universe all like this... what do you say are they taking after?
Main Universe Wonder Woman had already removed the lasso and said, "If the Wonder Woman from your universe was indeed not killed by you, there must be a larger conspiracy hidden behind it. Since you've admitted your error in safeguarding her, you are responsible for finding out the murderer. Also, tell me what you're doing here?"
"A Superman needs assistance," Injustice Superman smoothly changed the subject, "This universe's Batman cursed Superman, causing him to be bedridden. We're here to see if he can be saved."
Main Universe Wonder Woman's brow furrowed tightly. At this point, Lord Superman stepped forward and said, "Originally, they were about to capture Night Owl, but he was suddenly saved by a blue light. Do you want to see the video?"
Main Universe Wonder Woman nodded, but he couldn't discern any useful clues in the three-second video. Diana, however, raised her brow slightly, and Injustice Superman keenly noticed her change in expression.
"Can you see anything?" he asked Diana.
"The key isn't the blue light," Diana shook her head, "If the video is only this short, it proves the videographer could only record this briefly. He must have been interfered with. Who filmed this video?"
"Ultron," Lord Superman said, "The electronic life causing disruptions across major universes, he stirred up quite a mess at mine too. Luckily, Justice Lord acted in time, preventing any major impact."
"Then go ask him," Diana said, "Being the only one who faced the rescuer, only he would have clues."
"But if he knew what was going on, he would've told Super Queen," Lord Superman continued, "Since he didn't say, he probably couldn't analyze it clearly either."
"No, he didn't say it, possibly thinking Super Queen couldn't manage those people, which aligns more with electronic life's logic. Anyway, asking doesn't cost anything, and clues would be great."
Main Universe Wonder Woman nodded, thought for a while, then picked up a tablet, casually opened the messaging app, and typed a line: "Ultron, are you there?"
No one replied. Main Universe Wonder Woman looked up at the monitor and said to it, "Ultron? Ultron? You..."
At this moment, his Battleworld interface suddenly received a message. Primary Universe Batman sent him a brief few words—"Ultron situation has changed, return quickly."
