"Alright, sisters. Let's wrap up things about Batman now. How's Superman doing? Any strange occurrences lately?" Diana looked at her counterparts seated around the round table in the Battleworld base.
"More than that, I want to know, where exactly did that Wonder Woman from the Injustice League Universe go?"
Diana glanced at the Wonder Woman speaking. Through the fluctuation of Divine Power, she could discern which universe the different Wonder Women hailed from. The speaking one was the Wonder Woman from the Prime Universe.
"She..." Diana hesitated. Of course, Diana knew where that Wonder Woman had gone. After all, it was she and The Flash who orchestrated a switch, replacing that universe's Wonder Woman with one from another timeline, almost stabbing Injustice Batman to death with a sword.
They didn't kill the Wonder Woman from the Injustice League Universe but handed her over to Injustice Batman and Injustice Superman. Injustice Batman didn't kill her either; before acquiring Magic Power, he temporarily confined her in a cage that could block Magic Power. After gaining Magic Power, he sealed her in the Netherworld. She couldn't possibly attend the meeting.
But Diana knew she couldn't reveal the truth. Wonder Woman actually doesn't have as many intricate stances as Batman and Superman; they prefer seeing each other as sisters, just like on Paradise Island.
Most Wonder Women find it hard to imagine the outrageousness of the Wonder Woman from the Injustice League. They probably would only feel that Injustice Batman and Injustice Superman are unfeeling, and might even want to rescue her, which would be troublesome.
Diana sighed inwardly and said, "I'm not really sure. Does anyone have a way to contact her?"
The Wonder Women looked at one another and shook their heads. Diana also felt a bit strange. Batman and Superman might be able to seal her physically, but they can't block the Doujie System. She should be able to send messages, right? Could she have really been secretly killed?
"We should check," Wonder Woman from the Prime Universe said. "You all must have heard of the notorious deeds of Superman from the Injustice League Universe, right? He dared to mind control Batman, let alone our sister. I'm worried she might be in danger; it's best to ascertain her situation."
Diana pursed her lips but wasn't sure how to refute it. After all, the distasteful aspects of that universe's Wonder Woman are really not easy to explain briefly. No matter which Diana, she isn't one to gossip behind others' backs. If she spoke poorly now, it would likely leave a bad impression.
Among the Wonder Women, there's not as intense a leadership struggle as with Batman. After a period of mutual understanding, they adopted a democratic voting process to elect a chief.
Most Wonder Women aren't keen on power struggles, and Diana knows better than anyone the allure of power, showing exceptional ambition. With her efforts, she successfully became the chief and currently performs well. Nearly all the women admire her competence and remark that Diana's universe's Justice League ending work at 6:30 hinders her.
Diana is adept at reading the room. She knows that words of dissuasion aren't timely now, so she appropriately showed concern and said, "I also think we should check; we shouldn't let any sister fall into danger. But I'm afraid Superman from the Injustice League might be... hard to handle."
"How about this," Diana said, "I contact him and ask about Wonder Woman's status. If he doesn't reply or the reply is problematic, then we'll find a way to go across. That way, it will be a rescue, not an unauthorized intrusion. What do you think?"
The Wonder Women nodded, finding this approach good. Although a bit worried, they actually prefer not provoking that madman Injustice Superman. That's a ruthless person who can forcefully mind control Batman, having already become a ghost story among Supermen. If his attention is drawn, causing disaster for their universe, it would be bad.
Diana immediately composed the message. Once done, she posted it in the group first. After all the Wonder Women saw no issue, she sent it to Injustice Superman.
Injustice Superman never replies. Not that he chose not to, but because his message list is filled with curses and accusations from other Supermen, piled up with dozens or hundreds of messages ahead, new ones can't push through. He can't see them, so cannot reply.
With so many Wonder Women watching her, Diana can't pull any tricks. After waiting a while, she said: "Looks like he's opted for silence. I think we should consider going over, just to be safe. We finish work early over there, I can go. Who else wants to come?"
Prime Universe Wonder Woman stood up and said: "My universe has already established a Magical Defense Network, the defense pressure isn't heavy. Batman probably doesn't need me for now. I'll go with you."
"Actually, I want to go, but my universe's Batman was called to a meeting by the Prime Universe Batman; the defense power is slightly weak, so I can't go..."
"Same here, my Batman also went to the meeting."
"Indeed, heard it was summoned by the Prime Universe. They've built a Magical Defense Network over there, have a safe house, probably discussing counterattack plans."
"It's time to show Ultron some colors; he's committed several murders in my universe and must be expelled..."
The Wonder Women began discussing amongst themselves. Diana and the Prime Universe Wonder Woman exited the meeting room. Not far along, Diana called the Prime Universe Wonder Woman then said: "Be mentally prepared."
"What?"
"The rescue operation might not be that smooth," Diana said. "Injustice League's Superman has mind-controlled Batman and resisted so many Supermen's rescues, proving he's very smart and powerful. If he plans to stick to his path, then Wonder Woman might be in grave danger."
Prime Universe Wonder Woman's face darkened. She said: "You mean, that universe's Diana has already been silenced?"
Diana nodded heavily, opened the Doujie interface, and sent Clark a message: "Go to the Injustice League Universe, kill Wonder Woman. Quickly!"
Just back in his universe, not yet resting, Clark saw the message from Diana, jumped up from his chair, and immediately dug out his phone to call the Martian Manhunter.
"Ron, urgent situation! Quickly gather everyone!"
In less than two minutes, everyone appeared in the meeting room simultaneously. Hal was the first to ask: "What's wrong? What's happened? Where's Bruce?"
"Bruce isn't in trouble..."
Everyone immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"But don't tell me he let someone else get into trouble." Oliver was obviously more experienced and well aware of Clark's rhetoric in defending Bruce.
"No, it's nothing to do with him; it's a message from Diana." Clark shared the message for them to see.
"What are we waiting for then?" Hal said. "Let's go over right now."
"If it were that simple, I wouldn't have called you. The Injustice League's Batman is probably summoned for a meeting. The Injustice League's Superman isn't responding, so I'm not sure if he's in his own universe, and I'm also unsure if anyone else is there. If we just head over now, it might backfire."
After hesitating for a moment, Hal said, "Let Barry go, quick in and out."
"No," Oliver shook his head and said, "Diana sent the message to Clark, so there must be a reason for him to go. It's best not to swap out people. Why does Clark have to go?"
"The Wonder Woman from that universe is imprisoned," Clark said, "Initially, it was in the Batcave, but later, I don't know where they moved her to. I suspect it might be near Mount Olympus. If that's the case, there could be a magic barrier to break through."
"But you don't know magic, why didn't Diana go herself?"
"She definitely can't go," Clark said, "I think Wonder Woman wants to take advantage of the opposing Superman and Batman being away and 'visit' the Wonder Woman of that universe. Diana, as their chief now, needs to lead by example, but she doesn't want Wonder Women to meet the Injustice League's Wonder Woman, so she asked us to go quickly for a cover-up."
"Then I'll go. I can break the barrier and kill her directly." Hal said.
"No, it has to be me," Clark said. "Only then can I leave traces of Superman to make them believe it was done by the Injustice League's Superman, which is logical. However, you do need to open the barrier for me."
"Let's go then." Hal said.
The two of them turned and headed out the door, Oliver frowned and whispered, "What the hell is the Injustice League's Superman doing? Mind-controlling Batman and imprisoning Wonder Woman, is he trying to overturn the heavens?"
Clark, who hadn't fully walked out the door, said, "But he taxes the rich at 96%."
"Hurry up," Oliver immediately said. "Make sure it's clean and tidy, don't shame him."
Clark and Hal quickly arrived at the universe where the Injustice League resided. Of course, Batman and Superman weren't there to grant them access, but Brainiac could. Even though he was hiding, he was still silently governing Earth.
At this time, Diana sent them the exact address, which was actually at the far end of the Styx in the Netherworld. That place has always been where the gods of Mount Olympus sealed monsters.
With Hal there, their speed was very fast. It wasn't long before they arrived at the seal. Hal also followed the leaked aura from the seal and found Wonder Woman's location.
"Don't go in," Clark said. "Wonder Women are very sensitive to energy. If you leave traces of Green Lantern energy inside, it may reveal us."
"Be quick," Hal said. "I'll wait for you here."
Clark entered and came out within two minutes. Hal frowned and said, "So quick?!"
"Her divine power has been completely drained, at most equivalent to a physically strong ordinary person, so of course, it's quick."
"I feel like someone is coming, let's hurry and leave."
Hal took Clark and disappeared in under a minute, while two Wonder Women arrived together. As they stepped into the seal at that moment, the intense burnt smell hadn't dissipated, and two deep laser marks on the ground, with only a pile of ashes left at the end.
The Prime Universe Wonder Woman instantly clenched her fist, "How dare he? How dare he?!"
"A one-hit-kill, no hesitation," Diana half-kneeled and said, "It seems the Superman of this universe has completely gone mad."
"We can't just let him go like this!" The Prime Universe Diana gritted her teeth and said, "Mind-controls Batman, kills Wonder Woman, this damned villain! We can't let him be so arrogant anymore!"
A hint of darkness flashed in Diana's eyes. After standing up, she said in a sorrowful tone, "We've lost another sister. Although it's sad news, we cannot hide it from the other sisters. I'll write an obituary."
When Diana's illustrated obituary appeared in Wonder Woman's group, it exploded completely. Everyone was indignant, wishing to immediately drag the Injustice Superman to the Court.
"He probably left his own universe," Diana said. "We need to find a way to locate him, we can't let him act recklessly anymore."
"Which universe did he go to?" The Prime Universe Wonder Woman asked, suppressing her anger.
Diana had already gotten the answer from Brainiac because no conversation in this universe could be hidden from Brainiac's ears. But she still said, "I'll go ask, and I should have the answer soon."
Soon after, she sent a cosmic coordinate in the group, and it was surprisingly the universe where Night Owl and Super霸 were located.
