Tian refused to get out of the car. He remained firmly seated, clutching the piglet tightly against his chest while his mind raced through everything that had happened.
Why had he been brought here in the first place?
The more Tian thought about it, the less sense it made. If Hua Lang had deliberately disappeared and wanted someone to stay with him, then why would he go to such lengths to vanish from public view? What reason could he possibly have for doing something like this?
And then another possibility entered Tian's mind.
Does he know I'm an angel?
His expression became troubled.
Is that why he's doing all of this? Is he trying to trap me here because he knows who I really am? But why? What does he want from me?
None of the possibilities made sense, and the uncertainty only made Tian feel more upset. He tightened his arms around the piglet and buried his face against its soft fur, using the warmth of the little body to comfort himself.
