Chapter 2 - Plan

Emelia raised her head up as she realized the fact. She stared into the thin air with widened eyes, full of despair and loneliness. She wished her mother was here to save her from this situation.

"Oh mother" Emilia whispered and gently stood up. She looked at the door with a dark gaze as her inner voice whispered ideas: **Run away, run away**.

She pondered over the repetition of those words inside her head. She had to run away. That is a decision she finally made as she waited for morning time. The king would be on watch and might lock her up in her room if he caught her sneaking out this evening.

Her only plan was to leave early morning when everyone would be preparing to meet the tyrant king. By then, the king's attention would be divided.

Just as planned, Emelia woke up at the sound of the alarm clock in her chamber. She didn't allow the maids to make her bath because she needed them to think that she was eager to meet the tyrant king.

She manipulated them into thinking that she didn't have to be watched over. The sun came out, it was the cue for her to escape.

She walked over and stood at her window as she tied up her white silverish long hair into a messy pony tail. The sun rays accentuated the brightness of her blue eyes. Dressed in a green undesigned gown, she wore a thick cloak to cover her and prevent anyone from recognizing her.

She precautiously threw a rope over the window and took a deep breath before hopping over and firmly holding it to climb down. As much as she was scared of heights, she still went ahead and managed to reach the ground. A loud sigh escaped from her lips as she turned to move forward, but she let out a gasp noticing the man who stood in front of her.

As a result of this, her cloak fell off from her, revealing her face to him. He had black hair with impossibly red irises, or were they brown? Emelia couldn't figure it out because they were still bright. She looked at the extremely breathtaking man in front of her, while he gazed at her. He raised his head to stare at the window she climbed down from, and a dark smile formed across his lips. This must be her, the flower of Lancecrest. As per the description he received, this lady must be Lancecrest's daughter. Was she trying to escape from marrying him? Did she know the trouble her kingdom would be in if she ran away?

"I'm sorry for the startle young lady" Eliose said as his voice made Emelia shiver. What was this aura that made her suddenly have deep fear within her?

She wanted to speak but a dark force absolutely intimidated her. She couldn't find words to speak. Who is this man?

"Miss Emelia Lancecrest?" Eliose said her name in a question-like manner. He needed her to be aware that he knew who she was.

Emelia felt frightened as she realized that he knew her. She gently pushed him and rushed past him with a worried heart. She had to get out of sight before anyone caught her.

Eliose was still slightly leaning back because she pushed him. He straightened up and stared at her running in the distance. His frightful gaze pierced through her skin before walking away. He had nothing to worry about. She would assuredly come back to him.
