Chapter 1 - Wrong Wife

Matteo

"Who the hell is this?"

"The girl...Sir, it's the one you,-"

"You stupid bastard! This isn't her! Does this look like the young vixen I showed you three months ago?"

"Excuse me?" A voice came from the cell, "I'm right here."

"Shut the fuck up before I put a bullet through your head," I warned.

The woman scoffed.

"You don't have to be so fucking rude."

I glared at her for what seemed to be an eternity, yet the woman didn't even flinch.

"I have some ideas for that pretty mouth, Maggie."

She was completely dumbfounded.

"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" She smiled, narrowing her eyes, "To use me and toss me to the side like you probably do all of your other women."

I tried to get closer without walking right through those cell bars, "Actually, I would."

"How much will I get?"

"Honestly? A million."

Maggie laughed as she was just told she'd get ten cents.

"Seriously? Just a million dollars?"

"Fine," Matteo said, walking away, "Shoot her."

"Wait!" Maggie rushed to the bars as I crept towards her, "Why would you kill me? My family would be on you like flies on shit!"

"Naughty mouth," I tsked, "A million dollars and the privileges that come with being a Bianchi."

Maggie tilted her head, knowing the type of hold the we had on the city, "And then I can go home after you get what you want?"

I nodded, "If you'd prefer discussing this in my office, I will gladly let you out of your cage."

Maggie

The audacity of this brutally handsome man was beyond me!

How could he even have the gall not only to try and kidnap my sister, but instead of deciding that this was a terrible mistake, he wanted to keep me?

I knew this world all too well and I wasn't going to be let go so easily.

Matteo wasn't going to back down—especially if he thought that I'd snitch, which I wouldn't.

"Well, what will it be, Maggie?" Matteo asked, impatiently, "Want out of this cage for a while? Get some food—maybe a shower?"

I sighed. What choice did I have?

"You'll let me go after the allotted time?"

Matteo smiled, "Yes. I might be a bastard, but I'm a man of my word."
