The world around me was always dark.
I grew up in a society where no one really cared about you.
I was raised in a broken family.
My dad became a drunk after he lost his job at a big company, my mum ran away after my dad lost his job.
I had to start fending for myself at 10 years old. I would find any job that could get me paid and do it.
I always kept some money to myself so that my dad won't take everything.

"It feels warm, like I'm enclosed in something. " I thought.
I had died though I don't remember how I died but I know I'm dead.
What would my father be doing now I'm dead. Who would take care of him now.
I curl up into a ball in my safe place.
It's so warm and cozy in here that I never want to leave.
"When would the baby come out,mama? "
I hear a voice say.
I jump because I'm startled.
I hear a beautiful laughter. "Look I think it recognized your voice" "Really! " " You're going to be a good big brother "
I dull out the voices around me.
I thought I was dead so how can I still hear people talking?
I decided to sleep. Maybe it was just a dream.

"You stupid bitch!"
THAWK!
"After all I've done for you, you still decide to hide money from me! "
THAWK!
"I'll show you who's in charge here!"
THAWK!

"Dad I'm sorry! I'll never do it again. Please. Please." A sob escapes my lips.
He stops
"Sorry? Sorry? You're SORRY? After that whore of a mother ran away, I raised you. I allowed you to stay in my house and YOU DECIDED TO HIDE MONEY FROM ME!? "
A sigh escapes his lips.
"Get out of my sight"
I quickly scramble away from him and lock myself in my room.

I jolt awake.
Why was that memory coming to mind now.
Why did it have to be that?
I curl tightly into a ball.
I realize that im facing downwards.
A gentle wave comes and pushes me .
I laugh cause I'm getting tickled by it.
More gentle waves come and I'm shaking with laughter because they keep on tickling me.
I see an opening and I'm slowing moving towards the opening.
