Chapter 19 - Mark

Mark, the boy in the green shirt, is not just Lisa's friend — he's her best friend, her childhood companion, and someone who's been more than just family through thick and thin. While many assumed they were a couple, their bond was something deeper, something that words like "friend" or "boyfriend" couldn't fully define.

Mark grew up as an orphan, with no memory of his real family. Lisa, on the other hand, came from a warm and supportive household. They met in early childhood, and from that moment, they became inseparable — not out of convenience, but out of an unexplainable connection. Where one went, the other followed. Their friendship was pure, forged through shared laughter, mutual respect, and unwavering loyalty.

There was a time when Mark was on the verge of death — sick, weak, and alone. It was Lisa's family who stepped in, nursing him back to life as if he were one of their own. From that moment, Mark knew that Lisa wasn't just a friend — she was family.

Around the age of 13, Mark began noticing something strange. His strength started to grow unnaturally. Objects he touched would crack or break without him meaning to. At first, it terrified him. Once, during a playful moment, he touched Lisa's shoulder gently, and her face turned red — not from pain, but from the heat of his energy. It was then he realized: he wasn't a normal human.

This discovery changed everything. Mark knew that if he didn't learn to control his power, he could hurt someone — especially those he cared about. So he dedicated himself to training. He studied the human body, energy flow, and ancient strength techniques. He built not just his muscles but his mind, mastering his gift through sheer will and discipline.

Years passed, and Mark became a name known to many. He rose through the ranks and earned the title of the third strongest human in the world — not just for his raw strength, but for the control, wisdom, and heart he showed in using it.

But to Mark, none of that mattered as much as the people who helped shape who he was — especially Lisa. Despite his power, fame, or rank, he never forgot the days they spent in the rain, the moments of quiet friendship, or the time Lisa's family gave him a second chance at life.

Mark may be a legend now, but behind all that strength is a boy who once had nothing, and found everything in a friend who never left his side.
