"I'm surprised you actually let them have it, Boss," Ries commented while I was preparing lunch.
I cleared my throat, "Ahem… You make it sound like I gave them the ship… I only parked it in their hangar so that they could look at it. And don't think I don't know you did the same thing when we're on the ship too."
After we got the Iridescence, Ries would sometimes spend her free time just marvelling at the Verlandi in the hangar. I didn't really mind that so I didn't call her out of it and in fact, I even found it cute.
Amber gave me a pointed look, "Aren't you worried that someone might mess up your ship, Tera?"
"Oh, I've already taken out all the personal stuff from there so there's no need to worry," I assured her, concentrating on the steak I was cooking in front of me. "Besides… In case there's an attack on the station, it would be faster for me to fly out from here instead of going back to our ship."
Lea tilted her head at me, "What if someone tries to steal it, Mistress?"
