"Nice!"
Reese's smile widened slightly when he sensed the demons moving through the darkness.
"They know we're here."
The Super Soldiers immediately became alert.
They had already been briefed about the dangers of dealing with demons, but hearing Reese say that the enemies had noticed their presence still made them instinctively worry as they held their weapons.
Wade slowly raised his rifle and looked toward the dark passage ahead.
For a few moments, nothing happened.
Then they heard something… It was the faint scraping sound that came from somewhere deep within the underground tunnels. Then, it was followed by a growl that could be heard through the stone walls.
Just like that, more growls followed as they started getting closer.
Wade's took a deep breath as he also started sensing their presence…
"How many?"
"Dozens."
Reese's answer was calm.
"They're coming."
As soon as he finished speaking, several black figures suddenly rushed out of the darkness.
