The defenders thought they had finally forced the monster back. They believed the storm had weakened the Tyrant Zombie, and when Shane's transformation ended, they thought they had their chance.
But they had no idea.
The zombie form wasn't even his strongest state. In that form, Shane couldn't wield his weapons or unleash his full arsenal of skills. He had used it only to mess with their minds, to make them believe they were fighting a mindless undead. That way, they would stand their ground, hoping for a rare drop once they killed it, instead of fleeing in terror.
Now, Shane revealed his true self.
This time, he wasn't wearing the Calamity Set obtained from Zar'Zhul the Winged Calamity Zombie Lord. Instead, he equipped the Blacklord Set, dropped from another Zombie Lord, Prov the Corruptor.
The aura around him shifted instantly. What had been the oppressive dread of a zombie became something far worse… It was from an an overwhelming wave of corruption and domination.
