Asad turned around and found Fiona standing a short distance away, wearing an amused smile.
"What? Haha… You're really going to tell Shane about that?"
"Of course! I can't let you get away with insulting Miss Anna's work."
"I wasn't insulting her. I was just wondering whether this new elixir is better than the one she made."
"That's exactly what someone says when they're trying to insult another person's work!"
Asad stared at her for a moment before shaking his head.
"You're enjoying this far too much."
Fiona laughed. She had only been teasing him, after all. Everyone in their circle knew about Shane and Anna's relationship, even if neither of them had ever openly acknowledged it.
It wasn't exactly a secret, either.
Several people had seen Shane visiting Anna's room late at night, and some had even noticed that he occasionally stayed there until morning. Naturally, rumors had spread among those who knew them well.
However, nobody dared to bring it up directly.
