"Ahhh it finally ended," Mingshen laid back on the couch, arms to the side. He threw his mother a dirty look. "I forbid you to organize my birthday celebrations henceforth. Any party actually. I will escape this country if I have to."
Yang Bingqing shrugged. "So dramatic."
She abandoned him and dove straight towards Jia. "Thank God, you are alright. I was so worried for you there."
Mingshen sneered. "Worried? I didn't see you telling me to go and help her."
"Shut up," she glared. Then she looked back at Jia. "I hope everything went alright."
Jia smiled. "Don't worry, Aunt. We managed to save the day."
She beamed, eyes then watering. "My daughter-in-law is so smart and talented," she sniffled. "Why didn't I have you and had Mingshen instead!"
"Thanks, Mom," he smiled. "I should buy you the Best Mother of the World prize."
Jia cleared her throat. "A-Aunt, please don't be offended b-but, is it…I mean…declaring me as the daughter-in-law is…"
