Not long after we've taken our seats, a woman with long, dark hair and a warm smile approaches us.
Her clothes are clean and well-made, but they're simple.
She's not wearing any jewelry, and she doesn't seem to be trying to impress anyone.
But despite that, I can tell from her posture and her stride that she's a professional. She knows exactly what she's doing, and she's not afraid to show it.
"Hi there. Welcome to The Red Inn." She says, with a genuine smile. "What can I get for all of you?"
Lucas is the first to respond. "A plate of whatever you think is best, for each of us."
The woman blinks. "You don't want to see a menu?"
"Nah. We're here to be impressed. What's the best you've got?"
Her smile widens slightly. "I see. Well, then...I'd suggest the venison steak for the gentleman," She says, and gestures toward Roland. "With a side of potatoes and greens."
Roland grunts. "Sure."
