Breakfast passes without further incident, though I can see Tomas' face continuously grow redder as the time stretches on without allowing him to run his mouth off.
I could feel bad for him and how him mercy, but I don't see how he's earned it.
Besides that, he'll eventually erupt anyway, and there'll be no point throwing potatoes at him anymore. I'd have to get far more serious than that to shut him up at that point, and I'm simply not that serious about it.
So I'll consider it a time out, and count my blessings a long as he tolerates it.
We get through breakfast, at least, before he speaks.
Celeste, Roland, and even Lucas appear, before he finally speaks.
"Diane."
His voice is low, but the room silences.
"I get it. I pissed you off. I didn't mean to get you involved in whatever bullshit that client was up to." He scowls at me. "But I don't deserve this shit."
"Sure you do." Roland says, before I can respond.
