There is one last village before the border of Latrides. It really doesn't even count as a village. It's more of a hamlet. Whether it exists because of some early attempt at trade, a lazy method of moving inside the borders of Latrides to expect King Henri's support, or if it's merely a leftover from before the War of the Tear, I don't know.
I couldn't even remember it existed until we broke through the treeline into unexpected clear-cut.
The small houses and the few people out in the rain don't seem surprised to see us. That on its own is a surprise, given that I can't imagine many people would pass through this place at all, and the road itself doesn't indicate many travel it.
However...perhaps they do travel here more often than I realized.
Lucas is the one driving, so it's no surprise he slows down, curious to meet the people here.
