Team 8: Mashirao Ojiro, Tsuyu Asui, Togaru Kamakiri!
Sure enough, Team 8 found themselves in the Downpour Zone, facing the immediate challenge of this area. "Damn it!" Togaru, the guy with the green mohawk and yellow-green skin, cursed loudly. "I can barely see a damn thing in here!"
"I agree. Visibility is not on our side." Ojiro said, providing his input.
"Team 8!" Suddenly, Thirteen's voice came over the intercom. "Your task is as follows: During such weather, car accidents are more likely to happen, and this is exactly your scenario! An accident had occurred in this area, and you must intervene to attempt to save the victims! You have 10 minutes!"
"We need to locate an accident? Ribbit." Tsuyu asked, finding the task somewhat difficult. "But where should we even look?"
"If there was an accident, there would have to be smoke." Ojiro reasoned, trying to look around. "Damn, I have no visibility."
"Ha! As expected of 1-A!" Togaru said. "This task will be easy! We just need to find the accident's location, right? Let's go!" He rushed off in a random direction.
"Hey, wait! He's gone…" Ojiro said, then turned to Tsuyu. "We need to locate the accident's location first!"
"But how?"
"In such situations…Wait!" Ojiro had a sudden idea. "In such situations, either the heroes or the emergency response teams are there first! We might not be able to see anything clearly, but what if we try listening for audio indications? Come on!"
The two began going in the opposite direction from where Togaru went, unaware of the being above them. Polar Ghost was hovering above, the artificial rain passing harmlessly through his incorporeal form. "Not bad, Ojiro…But I doubt you expected hail."
Polar Ghost turned his head upward and let out a long, cold breath. The cold cloud spread upward, to the source of the rain, and as the drops passed through, they formed into ice balls. A hailstorm was coming down on them, and Izuku had doubts that they were prepared.
"Come on, come on!" Togaru said, going from street to street in an attempt to find the location of the accident. "It has to be somewhere around here!" He kept running around, but as he was running, he felt something hard hit the back of his head. "Hey, who is-" His breathing hitched as he reacted quickly.
Several blades formed on his arms, and he proceeded to cut down the hail as it came toward him. "A hailstorm?!" An ice ball got past his defense, hitting him in the eye. "GAH! Fuck damn it!" He swore loudly, covering his injured eye. He tried to look around using his good eye, but in doing so, spotted Polar Ghost watching from the side. "Who is there?!"
Polar Ghost moved back to vanish into the building it was in, going through the wall. Togura, however, decided to give chase, going inside the building and escaping the hail and rain from outside. He kept his injured eye closed until it recovered, using his good one to look around. "Did you cause this hail?" He asked, keeping a blade on one arm.
"I am not your objective." Polar Ghost told him calmly. "Go. Focus on your task!"
"Answer my question!" Togura demanded.
"Yes!" Polar Ghost answered. "The hail is my doing!"
"Who even are you?" Togura asked, not recognizing Izuku. "And how the fuck are you doing this? Where are you?!"
"I told you already, I am NOT your task." Polar Ghost pointed out again. "I am merely an additional challenge."
"If you are another challenge…I ought to remove you." Togura brandished his blades. "So come out here so I can shred you to ribbons!"
Polar Ghost sighed. "I am not allowed to engage in combat with you." He replied honestly. "Hopefully, your teammates are doing better."
"Over here!" And sure enough, they were. The hail was surprising, but they were keeping their heads down and powering through it. Sure enough, they found a location where two cars seemed to have crashed. There was one car that T-boned directly into another in the middle of an intersection. Inside the cars, there were two mannequins in total in the driver's seats.
"We need to pull them out!" Ojiro shouted. He tried to separate the two cars, but he found them immobile. "They're not moving…" In the meantime, Tsuyu used her tongue to grab and force the door of one of the cars open. She then rushed to the mannequin, pulling it out slowly.
"What do we do now?" Tsuyu asked.
"I am not sure!" Ojiro replied, trying to think of a solution. The hail was hurting them by the second. "Get that victim somewhere safe!" He looked at the roof of the car, seeing a window above. "I got an idea!"
"Right!" Tsuyu nodded her head, rapping the mannequin with her tongue and leaping away inside a nearby building to take shelter. Once she was away, Ojiro took a step back from the car, then charged at it, leaping into the air and using his tail to smash the window above to pieces.
This allowed him to access the mannequin inside, pulling it out gently and taking it to a safe place.
In the meantime, Togura was cutting everything in his path. "Coward! Face me!"
"There is no need…It is already over." Polar Ghost said as he finally came out of the floor.
"There you are, you-"
"The Task has been completed! Time stopped at 4 minutes and 23 seconds left! Not bad, time-wise." Thirteen announced, surprising Togura. "All participants are required to return to the main plaza for evaluation!"
"See you there." Polar Ghost flew off, turning intangible and going through the building, shocking Togura.
"Who the fuck was that…"
"Congratulations on completing the task within the allocated time!" Thirteen congratulated Team 8; however, she seemed a bit tense about it. "That…Is really the only positive I can give."
"Mashirao Ojiro and Tsuyu Asui!" Aizawa began. "Although you located the crash site and seemingly saved the victims, you neglected several key steps in your performance. For starters, you both neglected proper handling of the victims. If those were real people, with real injuries, your rough handling of them could have worsened their injuries! And Ojiro! Although I commend your quick thinking and observation of the overhead window, you had a duty to warn the victim so they could shield their eyes from the glass shards! Overall, those are all rookie mistakes, but make sure to learn from them."
"Yes, Sir!" Ojiro said.
"Yes, Sir. Ribbit." Tsuyu replied.
"However, Togura…" Vlad King shook his head in disappointment. "Your task was to locate the crash site and rescue the victims! Your Quirk would have been perfect for cutting them out of the cars! What happened?!"
"There was another guy there!" Togura explained. "Some freak who turned the rain into hail!"
"That would be me." Suddenly, Polar Ghost rose from the ground. "And I wish to add that I repeatedly reminded him to return to his task, but I was ignored." He tapped his badge on his chest, returning to normal.
"You are-" Togura gasped, seeing Izuku's ability for the first time. In fact, the entire class 1-B was surprised by Izuku's ability. "H-how?! Why?!"
"Midoriya here is being tasked with sabotaging you all," Aizawa explained.
"Sabotage?!" Monoma gasped. "Of course! 1-A is sabotaging us to look better in the exercise!"
"No, you idiot!" Itsuka Kendo, the redhead with the mask, shouted. "The sabotage is for both classes!"
"Exactly! However, he is to do so without engaging in active battle." Aizawa pointed out.
"I didn't know…" Togura said, trying to find an excuse. "How's it fair? I didn't know about this! I thought he was an intruder!"
Vlad King sighed. "Such an excuse won't hold in the field, Togura. However, before you even met Midoriya out there, you ran from the 1-A students on your team, who later found the accident site and proceeded to aid the victims. There is no I in Team!"
"This will reflect on your grade." Thirteen pointed out to them. "Although I agree that not telling you about the saboteur should be taken into consideration, your other action of ditching the others is already damning."
"Damn it…" Togura cursed again.
"Wait!" Monoma spoke up. "Does that mean he will sabotage all of us?!"
"Exactly!" Vlad King replied. "It is your duty to adapt and push through his added challenges, however! Do not disappoint me again, 1-B! Time for the next team and task!"
"Team 11!" Thirteen announced. "Head to the Flood Zone!"
Team 11: Sen Kaibara, Shihai Kuroiro, Shoto Todoroki!
The Flood Zone was an artificial lake, although one might confuse it with a piece of a water park! Team 11 was dropped in the middle of it, on a boat. There was a large structure resembling a water slide, but there were rocks along the way, likely to simulate a raging river or something.
"Team 11! Your task in the Flood Zone is a true race against the clock! There are multiple mannequins scattered around the water, floating around. In total, there are 20 such mannequins! They simulate victims caught in the flood! Your task is to retrieve them and load them onto the boat!"
"Sounds easy enough," Sen said, looking around and seeing the mannequins already. He then looked at Todoroki. "You can just freeze the lake so we can walk on it, then I can use my quirk to dig them out!" Sen proved his point by spinning his fingers at great speeds, making them resemble drills.
However, Shihai was of a different opinion. "Are you for real? We can't do that!"
"How come?" Sen asked him, letting the silent Todoroki look around.
"Remember Team 8's blunder? They took into account how they handled the victims! If we were to flash freeze actual people, we'd be doing more harm than good. Plus, you can't drill them out fast enough!" Shihai reasoned, and Sen saw his point.
"Huh. Good point." Sen admitted.
"Guys?" Todoroki asked, having seen something in the water.
"What is it?" Sen asked, only for the object of Todoroki's worry to jump out of the water above them. "What the-"
Jaws was here!
"That was Midoriya!" Todoroki told them, going over the edge of the boat to try and spot him.
"Hey, hey, this isn't funny! I thought he turned into some bug thing!" Shihai said.
"He doesn't just turn into that…From what I know, he has at least 20 such forms he can turn into, each with its own powers."
"That's bullshit!" Shihai argued, but then the group saw what his task was. Leaping from below, Jaws caught one of the mannequins in his teeth, then bit down, launching the head on the boat. "Shit…"
"He is killing the victims!" Sen realized. "This is what Thirteen meant by a race against the clock! It is a race against that guy!"
"What do we do? That guy's got the advantage, he is literally a fish!" Shihai pointed out, but Todoroki realized something. They were not on some prop boat, but on a real one! But they had no engine. Luckily, he got an idea.
"Sen, can you act as a boat motor?"
"A what?!" Sen asked, but then he realized Todoroki's idea. "I see where you're hinting at, 1-A! Let's do it!"
"Hey, can you guys fill me in?! Hey!" Shihai shouted as he saw Sen jump into the water, but the boy wasn't going far.
"Ok, here goes nothing!" Sen said as he began to spin his legs, propelling the boat.
"Shihai! Drive the boat toward the victims! I will try to keep Midoriya away!" Todoroki said, and Shihai did as told, taking the wheel of the boat and directing it to the victims. Todoroki kept watch, however, then, as he saw Izuku's fin peeking from the water, he acted.
"There!" He launched ice toward him as a means to deter him from harming the victims. It seemed to work as he changed direction sharply, allowing them to draw near and collect the victim.
"It's working!" Shihai commented, and Team 11 continued with this strategy to collect the victims. They were not able to save them all, however, as Jaws managed to get 7 mannequins in the end. But they got 13. A little over half the victims.
Team 11 returned to the shore shortly after. "That was…Tiring." Sen said, catching his breath.
"Ha! We showed that fish!" Shihai celebrated, but then heard a splashing sound behind him. "He is behind me, isn't he?" Turning around, he found himself face to face with Jaws, who opened his maw wide, allowing him to see his teeth. "AHHHH!" Shihai fell on his ass, seeing Jaws chuckle at his reaction. "Not funny, you oversized sushi!"
"It is." Izuku turned back, and the group headed to the main plaza for their evaluation.
"Team 11! I commend you on your teamwork this time, as well as the task being done on time!" Thirteen said.
"Shihai, Sen! Good job! Especially you, Sen! You really pulled everyone's weight! No pun intended." Vlad King praised his students.
"Congratulations on your thinking, Todoroki," Aizawa said. "You did well to keep Midoriya away and act as the deterrent."
"Thank you, Sir," Todoroki replied.
"Though I do have to say, Shihai. This task was ill-suited for you and your quirk." Vlad King stated. "Still, you did your part. Feel proud about that."
"Thanks, Sir," Shihai replied.
"Now! Let's move on to the next team, shall we?" Thirteen asked. "Next up? Team 7! To the Landslide Zone!"
Team 7: Denki Kaminari, Yosetsu Awase, Manga Fukidashi!
The landslide area was a replica of a city that was, as the name implies, taken by a landslide. Ground seemingly poured into buildings and washed them like water, creating a slanted area. There were ruins all over the place, too.
"Alright!" Denki said, excited. "Let's do this! Are you guys ready to own this exercise?"
"You are excited," Awase noted dryly. "Let's first hear what our task is!"
"Team 7! Your task is to simulate the aftermath of a landslide. Among the wreckage, there are a total of 8 victims! You must rescue all of them, or as many as you can, in a maximum of 10 minutes! However, you will find they are well-hidden! Good luck!"
"Let's get to work, guys!" Awase said, and the group got to work right away, seeking out the mannequins.
"I found one!" Manga was the first to locate a mannequin, which he carefully extracted from under the ground. "Nice and easy." The first mannequin was found in 34 seconds.
"I found another one! There is a bit of debris in the way, so I need some help!" Denki said, and Awase went to join him, trying to lift the debris. Once it was high enough and touching a larger piece, Awase used his Quirk.
"You can let go," Awase said, and to Denki's surprise, the debris wasn't falling.
"Whoa! What'd you do?" Denki asked.
"My Quirk," Awase said with a grin. "Pretty nifty, ri-" Suddenly, the ground all around them began to shake violently. "What is going on?!"
"This must be Midoriya's doing!" Denki said, taking a guess. However, his guess soon proved to be accurate as Izuku surfaced from the ground in the form of Quake. The large, bulky alien smashed his arms into the ground, shaking it.
"He is causing an earthquake?!" The debris all around them moved, and the ground slid further.
"Watch out! Oh no…Ka-pow!" Manga shouted, which got Izuku's attention. However, as the boy looked up, he saw a giant onomatopia fall on top of him, forcing him to dig in the ground quickly to avoid being hit.
"Exercise suspended!"
"We said no combat!" Aizawa reminded them harshly.
"Manga, what did you do that for?" Vlad asked his student.
"I'm sorry, teacher, I just panicked and acted without thinking," Manga replied. "I attacked Midoriya, thinking it'd stop the shaking."
"Well, it worked, but it got your team disqualified in the process. This will show in your grades." Aizawa pointed out to them. "You all had a good start, however. I will admit to that."
"However, Midoriya here was tasked with simulating a still-active zone." Thirteen explained. "Japan is a country with a high earthquake risk, and more than one can hit in short windows of time. We were going to be lenient, since we predicted all victims would get crushed from a second round, but…You broke the rules, sorry!"
"Oh man…" Manga was certainly feeling down.
"Hey man, chin up," Denki said, trying to cheer him up. "There will be other opportunities to shine!"
"Still…" Awase began, glancing at Izuku, who was already dialing for the next form. "That guy is dangerous."
"We will see how dangerous he is against his own tools," Monoma muttered silently.
"Alright! Next team!" Thirteen declared."Team 12! You are to head to the conflagration zone!"
"Team 12: Koji Koda, Hanta Sero, Kosei Tsuburaba!"
"Dude!" Sero said, looking all around them. The conflagration zone was an actual inferno, fire everywhere they looked! "There is no way I can shoot out any tape in here, and Koda has no animals to talk with, either!"
"So, you two are admitting to being useless here, huh?" Kosei mocked them lightly. However…
"Team 12! Your objective is-"
"WE THROW!"
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW, KOSEI?!" Vlad King shouted at his student, as it was he who shouted their surrender before the exercise even began. "How can you throw the match so easily, huh?!"
"Forgive me, Vlad, Sir." Kosei bowed and apologized, as did Sero and Koda, as they were apologizing to Aizawa.
"Heroes don't get to choose and say throw like that, got it? I swear, another failed team." Aizawa said, clearly annoyed with his students.
"Try to give them a break, Aizawa! Even we heroes have certain specializations! We can't all be jacks of all trades!" Thirteen, bless her heart, was luckily there to defend them. "Still…Heroes don't throw!"
"I swear…" Vlad King gumbled.
"I didn't even have the time to turn…" Izuku said, looking disappointed as well.
"Well, no use getting hung up on this. The next team is Team 3! To the flood zone!"
Team 3: Eijiro Kirishima, Kojiro Bondo, Setsuna Tokage!
"Alright!" Setsuna shouted as the team found itself on the boat in the middle of the flood zone. "What is our task?"
"S-Setsuna, please! B-be patient!" Kojiro asked of her.
"No, she has the right idea!" Ejiro added. "Hit us!"
"Team 3! Your goal is…To escape!" Thirteen's statement had them confused, but that was when the boat shook, and they all looked back, seeing Accel leaning on the edge of the boat.
"Hello!" He waved at them.
"Who the heck is this guy?!" Setsuna asked.
"That's Midoriya! That's his fast form!" Kirishima told them, then they watched as Accel leapt off the boat and began running on water in the center of the large pool. "What is he doing-"
"He is making a whirlpool!" Setsuna realized.
"Your goal is to escape! Your boat has unconscious civilians on it! You must escape the whirlpool and return to land! You have 10 minutes!" Thirteen explained further.
"Damn it, this is bad!" Setsuna said. "Hey, you, 1-A! Grab the steering wheel and try to get us away from the range of the whirlpool!"
"At once!" Kirishima did as he was told and grabbed the steering wheel, attempting to pull themselves away from the strength of the whirlpool Izuku was creating. "Damn it!" He reinforced his body by hardening, trying to hold on better to the steering wheel. "We are getting sucked in!"
"I can see that!" Setsuna shouted back. "I have an idea! Kojiro, glue me!"
"R-right!"
Setsuna's idea was quite something. Using her Quirk, she split herself into several floating pieces, which Kojiro then glued together with the ship. Using those pieces, Setsuna was effectively pulling the ship away from the whirlpool, slowly managing to bring it to land. By the end, she was looking a bit worse for wear.
"Better!" Vlad King said, nodding his head. "You all did very well. Good thinking, Setsuna! Gluing your own bits to pull the boat away from the whirlpool was a good idea."
"Kirishima, you also did well steering away from the water and giving them time to enact their plan." Aizawa praised his student.
"Thanks, Sir, but I don't feel like I did much," Kirishima replied.
"Of course you didn't! Our classmates pulled your weight, deadbeat!" Monoma went off the handle, but soon after, a large hand slapped him over the head.
"Forgive him, he went off the handle again." Itsuka Kendo apologized, dragging Monoma away.
"Right…"
"Well, next team! Team 5! Head to the Ruins Zone! You have 10 minutes to fulfill your task!"
Team 5: Rikido Sato, Ibara Shiozaki, Kyoka Jiro!
The ruins zone was befitting of its name. Everywhere they looked, ruined buildings were all around them. It resembled the landslide area to some degree, but without the disaster itself. This was the aftermath of the disaster.
"Team 5, your task is to locate a box containing important documents! However, this time, Midoriya will be taking a more active role as he is searching as well. You all have 10 minutes! If Midoriya finds the box, you fail!"
"So, that is why you are here," Jiro remarked as Izuku was standing next to them, not having turned yet. "So, it's a race."
"It is, but I doubt Accel would be of use here," Izuku said, already turning the dial. "But I got someone in mind who might be perfect for this. Professor Thirteen hid the box, meaning it has her scent."
"Scent?" Sato questioned, then recalled something. "Hell, it's-" The flashing light blinded them all, and when it died down, Wolfcry was standing there, tall and hairy.
"By the Father's throne!" Ibara recoiled seeing him. "Acursed being!"
"Calm down! It's just Midroiya's wolf form! Move it!" Jiro and Sato began their search for the box, but they saw Midoriya sniffing the air, picking up a trail. "Damn it - What are you doing?!"
"This poor soul is clearly cursed," Ibara said as she stood on her knees, praying. "For even a man pure of heart may turn into a wolf, Midoriya, I believe and pray you will see the light and reject this foul form!"
"Are you for real?" Jiro asked, but then Midoriya's tail perked up as he looked their way. "He picked up the trail!"
"Roger that!" Sato said as they saw Izuku heading to where he smelled the scent of Thirteen, with Sato and Jiro following him in hopes of stealing the box when he found it. However, they had to recall that combat was off the table. Any attack on Midoriya was considered to be an immediate disqualification for their team.
But they didn't have to. Suddenly, vines rose from the ground, holding the box. They all stopped dead in their tracks, staring at the vines, then looked back at Ibara, whose vines were deeply dug into the ground. "Well, since she touched the box first…" Izuku guessed.
"Exercise over!"
"I swear, Ibara, you almost gave me a heart attack with your prayer!" Vlad King scolded her lightly. "But you did well!"
"How did you know where the box was?" Izuku asked. "I only picked up the trail briefly using Wolfcry, and-." Suddenly, she shoved a cross in his face.
"Stay away! Your soul is clearly possessed!" She claimed, confusing Izuku.
"Say what?" He questioned.
"Forgive her. She comes from a crazy religious household." Awase said, going to Ibara. "Come, Ibara. You showed them good, so let's celebrate a little."
"But what of the possessed one? We cannot leave him to suffer the folly of his choices by himself!" She argued.
"You can keep praying for him." Awase guessed.
"Hmm. I guess you are right." And she got right to prayer. "Oh, heavenly father, who art in heaven…"
Vlad King sighed. "I see my class is not the only colorful bunch," Aizawa remarked slyly.
"Thirteen! Next team!" Vlad King demanded, not wanting to start an argument.
"R-right! The next team is Team 2! The Ruins, again!"
Team 2: Ochaco Uraraka, Pony Tsunotori, Juzo Honenuki!
"Team 2, your task in the Ruins zone is going to be vastly different from your friends. This time, you are to simulate a scenario we heroes experience sometimes." Thirteen stated. "When we arrive too late, we often find nothing but corpses. There are no survivors among those ruins. Only the danger, and you must escape this danger to fight another day."
"You cannot fight, so escape is the only solution. If you head north, there is an area we designated as safe. Reaching there means you pass the exercise. You have 10 minutes to escape." Aizawa explained further. "Midoriya will be trying to capture you. If he does, you lose. Those who reach the safe zone pass, while those who are caught fail. You are not allowed to fight back."
"BEGIN!"
"This will be a piece of cake," Juzo said, a grin across his face under his mask.
"Don't be so certain," Ochako warned him, then, right behind them, a massive amount of metallic rubble was lifted off the ground, drawing their attention.
"HOLY SHIT!" Pony swore in English, then quickly started running.
"What the-"
"Caught you!" The cold metallic voice of Magneto sent chills down their spines as he masterfully controlled the metal above him, selecting several bits and pieces. Then, he threw him toward Pony.
"Pony!" Juzo shouted, quickly touching the ground and activating his Quirk. Almost instantly, the ground below the girl turned soft, and Juzo leapt at her, sinking them both into the ground.
"What?" Magneto asked, then he saw the two appear again.
"Yeah! I got this idea from Setsuna!"
"Good work, Juzo!" Pony praised her teammate as they were using a pair of floating horns to gain distance. The metallic beams he threw at them were already behind them, stuck into the re-hardened ground. It was like a boat. Pony was on Juzo's back, the boy holding on to two horns that were dragging them both along for the ride.
So long as he was in the ground, he was softening the ground ahead, allowing them to pass through the treacherous terrain of the ruins easily. But they didn't account for something. Their suits, all of them, contained metallic bits. "You won't get away." The magnetic wave reached them, and they felt their speed fading.
"What is going on now?" Juzo questioned, and Pony looked back at Magneto with his claw stretched their way.
"He is doing something!" She replied, then aimed her horns at him.
"Wait! We cannot fight, remember?!" Juzo pointed out. "He is trying to capture us! He is…Using the metal parts of our suits to pull us back!"
"Not fair!" Pony whined, then launched two more horns, which went into the ground, pushing Juzo by his feet forward in an attempt to keep going.
"How persistent…" Izuku said, annoyed. However, that was when he noticed something. Ochako was not running with them; instead, she was running around the area. One issue with Magneto was that he couldn't multitask so easily. Clicking his non-existent tongue, he kept only one claw on the 2-B students, aiming one at Ochako.
Only for her to touch something and for Izuku to attract it, causing it to fly fast toward him. Izuku failed to react in time, forcing him to dodge and let go of the other two.
"Whoa!" But the blocked momentum caused them to fly out of the ground and roughly land among the ruins. "Ugh…" Juzo landed awkwardly, but he was getting up slowly. "Pony, are you ok?"
"I am fine." She replied, nursing her head.
"How?!" Magneto asked, facing Ochako. "You are not allowed to fight me! How was the exercise not terminated?"
"This form's power is magnetism, correct? I figured from what you did to them that you'd try and pick me up by the metal in my suit, too. I just made some metal debris weightless, so when you pulled it in…"
"I miscalculated the speed it moved and was unable to properly react to adjust the power of my magnetic pull. You didn't attack me. You tricked me into attacking myself!" Magneto summarized. "Smart, Uraraka. Very smart."
She blushed slightly at the praise, but then she saw shadows above herself, seeing several metallic beams. Her eyes widened. "What?"
"But ultimately, you should have run." He dropped the beams all around her, effectively caging her.
"Exercise is over!" Magneto looked toward the safe area, seeing the 1-B students there.
"They ran whilst you distracted me," Magneto said, then faced Uraraka again and used his powers to free her. He threw the metallic debris away, then slowly walked to her.
"I am honestly shocked at how many forms you've used today. Didn't you reach your limit already?" She asked, staring at the Omnitrix.
"I am good, thanks for asking." He glowed again, then turned back. "Not being able to actively engage against you guys is rough for me, too, not gonna lie," Izuku said.
"Well, I think you are doing fantastic," Uaraka told him.
"Thanks, Uraraka," Izuku replied.
"Forgive me, Professor Aizawa." Ochako apologized to their teacher. "I failed."
"No, you did not," Aizawa said, then Vlad's students came up.
"Did you see us, Vlad King, Sir? We cleared the exercise!" Juzo said, happy at their victory.
"You did. Technically, you won." Vlad said, but his tone was not one of excitement. It was more akin to disappointment.
"Something the matter?" Pony asked.
"This is not a victory you two ought to be proud of," Vlad added.
"Allow me." Thirteen interjected. "Juzo, Pony. While it is true you won by the conditions set on you, you only succeeded because of Ochako Uraraka's sacrifice, distracting Midoriya while the two of you escaped. Now, run this kind of scenario again, but without restrictions. Without rules. Against real villains."
"She'd sacrificed herself for us…" Pony said slowly, realization dawning on her. "Oh no…"
"You mean to say, if this was for real…"
"Often, those who choose to stay behind and sacrifice themselves for others to escape do not make it," Aizawa stated openly. "And those people realize it as well. To willingly sacrifice yourself for the good of others is a prime quality of any hero."
"And you two gave no second glance." Vlad King added further. "No effort to aid her, so you can all escape."
"We were doing what we were told! Escape!" Juzo argued.
"No one is faulting you for that, Juzo. Just…Learn, ok? If you ever find yourself in such a situation again, don't just run. Try."
"Understood, Sir," Juzo replied, keeping his head down.
"As for you, Uraraka?" Aizawa turned to her. "Despite your failure, your willingness to sacrifice yourself has earned you some extra credits. Congratulations."
"Thank you, Sir!" She replied.
"Now that the lesson is given, let's continue!" Thirteen said, continuing their day at the USJ. "Team 9! Head to the Mountain Zone!"
Team 9: Toru Hagakure, Jurota Shishida, Neito Monoma!
"The mountains…" Jurota, the big, hairy guy from 1-B, said softly. "I wonder if our task is some kind of search and rescue."
"Midoriya is bound to make it more difficult, however." Toru pointed out. "I just hope he is not using that ghost freak." She shivered, an action more visible than her.
"Ghost?" Jurota questioned.
"He has many forms."
"So he does, huh?" Monoma said softly, a grin spreading over his face. "Well, I wonder which he will entertain us with ."
"Team 9! This exercise is a combat one!"
"Come again? Monoma asked.
"This is an exception to the no-combat rule you've been facing so far. You must defeat Midoriya to pass or survive 10 minutes! At least one of you must make it!"
"DEFEAT HIM?!" Toru shouted. "He can change forms at will! The moment we get used to one, he will change to another!"
"No, he won't. He is locked to one form." Aizawa pointed out to them over the coms. "If he switches, it is an instant loss to him."
"Well…Good to know? Still!"
"No more talking. Begin!" Vlad King shouted, then the group jumped as a bunch of rocks flew off, revealing the form Izuku chose for this exercise.
"I must say, I don't get to put Diamond Soldier's endurance to the test very often. And you!" He pointed to Joruta. "You seem tough."
"Eep!" Toru leapt back, intimidated by Izuku already. However, Joruta didn't seem afraid, and he instead took a stance against him.
"I don't know what you can do like this, but I won't lose! I am Joruto Shishida!" Suddenly, the boy grew in size, his fangs enlarging. "And you are dead meat!" And then he charged right at Izuku, but he caught his charge, and the two locked themselves in combat.
Diamond Soldier's specialty was endurance, yet he was able to pack a punch as well. Still, the raw strength coming from Joruta was something else! Diamond Soldier eventually managed to push him back, then punched him hard, dazzling him a bit. However, he countered with his own punch, causing small bits to fly off from Diamond Soldier's outer shell.
"Impressive. Few can just punch me." Diamond Soldier stated, then Joruta tried to grab him, but that was a poor choice. As soon as his hand clasped around Diamond Soldier's arm, he began shouting, pulling it back in pain.
"GAHH!" He shouted, seeing blood coming from his hand. Looking at Diamond Soldier, he saw his arm covered in spikes. "You!" He growled, clenching his bleeding fist as he charged at Diamond Soldier again.
"This is crazy!" Toru shouted at Monoma as the two sat out of the way. "That guy is actually holding his own against one of Midoriya's forms!"
"Joruta is our heaviest hitter. Of course he is!" Monoma boasted, watching the fight. However, as the two seemed to forget about the others, Monoma made his move. "Gotcha!" He charged out of his hiding place, right at Diamond Soldier. "Your Quirk is mine!" He shouted, grabbing right onto the Omnitrix.
"Alert! Unauthorized DNA Access Detected!" The voice blared in Izuku's head.
"What are you-" However, something happened. Something everyone noticed and heard.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Monoma began screaming as green veins spread along his arm, then his body. He collapsed to the ground, coiled into a ball in absolute agony. "Make it stop! Make it stop!" He was foaming at the mouth, too!
"Exercise suspended! Call the medical team, now!" Thirteen shouted.
Everyone watched as Monoma was rolled onto a stretcher and given heavy sedatives. "What did you do?!" Vlad King marched to Izuku. "Answer me!"
"I didn't do anything!" Izuku argued.
"Affirmative. You didn't do anything. It was the action of the boy that caused this." The Omnitrix stated in Izuku's head.
"Bullshit! Monoma tried to copy your Quirk, but then, in the very next second, he started screaming in agony!" Vlad King said, revealing Monoma's Quirk.
"He can copy Quirks?!" Izuku asked, surprised by Monoma's Quirk.
"That explains it. His Quirk must have attempted to copy the abilities of every available alien at once. It overloaded his system, causing this reaction. The effects should fade, assuming his Quirk's power is temporary." The Omnitrix summarized.
"Vlad, enough!" Aizawa said. "It is clear Midoriya's Quirk is simply not one Monoma can copy. Didn't his file say overly complex Quirks can cause him harm? This is very likely one such case."
"Still! I've seen him copy Quirks of great complexity and never had any trouble!" Vlad King replied.
"Maybe it has to do with the fact that the guy has multiple forms?" Setsuna guessed. "I mean, Monoma's Quirk is something, but this guy? It's like he has multiple Quirks! And he does have a limit, that Monoma."
"Possibly." Thirteen added. "Still, this is a serious incident. Midoriya, are you sure you didn't do anything, even unwillingly, to cause this?"
"I am positive! I was fighting Jurota, not paying attention to anything else, and he just…Appeared out of nowhere!" Izuku replied.
"This is a fucking mess…" Vlad said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Umm. Should we continue?" Awase asked. "Monoma looked to be in pretty rough shape, so maybe those of us who are finished ought to be allowed to go make sure he is alright."
"Very well," Vlad said. "Those of you who are finished may go, just remember to head to the bus when the time comes."
"Thank you, Sir." And so, the 1-B students who had their turn left, heading to the USJ's medical wing.
"Is it even wise to keep going?" Momo asked.
"We must keep going, Miss Yaoyorozu," Aizawa told her. "Thirteen! Announce the next team!"
"Very well. The next team is Team 10!" Thirteen declared. "You will be going to the Downpoor Zone!"
Team 10 Mezo Shoji, Mina Ashido, Yui Kodai!
Team 10's objective was to locate a hidden device located somewhere outside the buildings. What they were not told was that the device would be on the move, thanks to Izuku moving it around using Poltergeist. However, they were smart. They made use of Shoji's Quirk, which let him create more ears to pinpoint the beeping device, then something unexpected happened.
Their objective was to destroy the device as well, yes, and for that reason, Mina threw her acid at it once she saw it. Poltergeist turned intangible; however, her acid, as it turns out, was still able to touch him!
"Gah!" Poltergeist shouted as he went down, dropping the device to the ground in the process and wrecking it.
"Oh my God, Midoriya! I am so sorry!" Mina rushed to him, apologizing for the acid attack.
"It's alright," Poltergeist replied.
"How is it alright? You are burning!" Shoji pointed out.
"There is no sunlight here," Poltergeist said coldly. "And the acid is merely burning through my second skin layer."
"Second skin layer?" Yui, the girl from 1-B, mused, curious.
"Hehehe. I planned to show this later, but I guess my hand is shown. GAH!" Suddenly, clawed hands erupted, showing black, long nails-claws, even! His back hunched forward, as two rows of spikes erupted from it, further shredding his skin. Everyone stepped back, witnessing the horrid display.
He ripped the skin on his torso next, exposing what appeared to be an open ribcage with stripped white and black tentacles going through like eels. The Omnitrix badge vanished from its original position as he did this, and relocated itself elsewhere. Namely, as he removed the skin on his head, he exposed an inhumane skull with an elongated lower jaw and sharp teeth with only one, lifeless eye peering through one of the orbits. And the Omnitrix badge? It was in his other eye socket.
His second eye, however, was located on a tendril that came out from his shoulder, constantly looking around and giving him a 360-degree field of vision.
"Finally! This feels liberating!" Poltergeist declared as he flew high, the acid now gone. The tail he had also revealed itself to be a massive, stripped tendril, which wriggled around in the air.
"What a grizzly transformation!" Shoji commented as Mina looked awfully pale from what she had just witnessed.
"A-and you can d-do this anytime?" Mina asked.
"Not quite. I can burn to ash if exposed to sunlight when my second skin layer is gone." Poltergeist replied. "Still, I only did this to get rid of the acid. The device is wrecked, so you pass the exercise. Now- Is she ok?"
Mina and Shoji looked back, seeing Yui Kodai on the ground, foam at the mouth, and utterly passed out. "I think she wasn't ready for what she just witnessed."
"Ugh. I will need to carry her out of the downpour zone, aren't I? Fine." He reached out with his hand, focusing as she began floating.
"Hold the phone, I thought that Trihex guy was your telekinetics guy!" Mina said, seeing Yui float in the air.
"He is definitely the better of the two when it comes to this particular skill," Poltergeist replied. "Now get!" He spat, leading them all out of the downpour area.
"I am so sorry, Kodai!" Izuku apologized to Yui after she woke up among her classmates. "My forms can alter my personality, and Poltergeist doesn't have a lot of compassion or care for others! I just did what was convenient at the time without considering your reaction to such a sight!"
"It's…Alright." Yui replied, suppressing a shiver. "You are…Scary."
"I'm sorry…"
"Well." Thirteen cleared their throat. "At least we know it is limited by the existence of sunlight. Still, to think one of your forms is limiting itself by using a secondary skin layer…"
"It was in his file," Aizawa replied. "I read it. Overall, that form is merely his second most problematic one he currently has."
"Which one is the first?" Thirteen asked out of curiosity.
"A walking radioactive hazard." Aizawa's reply seemed to get everyone on their toes upon hearing that.
"Radioactive?!" Momo gasped. "Oh, dear, I sincerely hope we are not going to have to deal with that!"
"Absolutely not!" Izuku said quickly. "Chernobyl is so dangerous, I don't plan to use him much as is!"
"You named him after one of the worst nuclear disasters in human history?" Hiryu asked. "I won't say it doesn't fit, however."
"Regardless! Let's continue!" Thirteen declared. "Team 6! You are next! You are going to the Mountain Zone! And for this exercise, Midoriya, we have prepared something for you to use."
"Oh?"
Team 6: Momo Yaoyorozu, Hiryu Rin, Reiko Yanagi!
Team 6's objective was to locate a stranded hiker on the side of the mountain somewhere. Still, Team 6 proved to be quite well put together. Momo showed good leadership, and Hiryu supported her, which drew Reiko in as well. The trio was capable of locating the hiker in less than 2 minutes, leaving them 8 on the clock.
But Izuku was not going to make it easy for them.
"What is that shaking?" Hiryu asked, only to receive his answer when they all looked below, seeing one of the robots from the entrance exam charging toward them. "What the-"
Reacting quickly, Momo created rope and tied it around the hiker, leaping down onto flatter ground as the group was faced with the robot. Only it was different. Black, with green circuit lines. "Midoriya?! I wasn't aware this was a combat-allowed scenario!"
"It isn't." Hack's voice came from the robot. "My job is to make your job harder, and this is what I am doing!" He revealed two cannons on his shoulders, but didn't shoot anyone. Instead, it shot around them. Momo realized quickly what he was trying to do.
"He is trying to cause a landslide!" She shouted, then threw the hiker at Reiko. "Reiko, get them down from here! Hiryu, protect her!" Momo shouted as she got trapped. Izuku tried to give chase to the others, but thanks to them combining Reiko's Quirk with Hiryu's strength, they were able to outpace him and reach the safe zone.
"Well done, everyone!" Thirteen congratulated them as they came back, but Izuku was still in his Hack form. "Midoriya? Why are you still transformed?"
"W-well…"
"Amazing!" Momo exclaimed from behind him, carefully examining him. "The entire structure of this form defies our very laws of biology! It is all some kind of living substance capable of interacting and altering devices at will! I saw it on the bus, but now I get to have a closer look! How do you even upgrade parts of a device? Do you use your own body to generate extra parts? If so, shouldn't you also be able to generate devices on your own?"
"Hack doesn't function like that!" Izuku argued.
"Actually, you have access to the capabilities of the Galvanic Mechamorph race that have been recorded in two individuals of this race. One is the ability to scan technology and reproduce it, the other is the ability to form entire vehicles and the like." The Omnitrix pointed out.
Oh, and it only just now tells him this in his head! Still, Izuku slammed the dial, turning back.
"Next team, please!" Izuku said, but then he checked the Omnitrix. "Actually, I am going to need a bit of time!"
"You reached your limit?" Thirteen asked, curious.
"Seems so. I guess I underestimated the strain of turning so much in one day." Izuku replied. The Omnitrix warned him as soon as he turned back. "I will need around 10 or so minutes to be back."
"Very well, let's all take a break then!" Thirteen said, then everyone looked to the side, seeing the rest of 1-B, plus Monoma, rejoin them. "Monoma! Shouldn't you be resting?"
"I am fine, Ma'am. As soon as my Quirk's effects wore off, I recovered swiftly." Monoma replied, but then looked right at Izuku. "I must say, your Quirk is extremely dangerous. I see now why Vlad King had your application to UA suspended."
"Monoma!" Vlad King raised his voice.
"Well, Cemestoss withdrew his support for that," Izuku replied. "So, I guess I can join UA whenever I want."
"Right…"
"Still! Your Quirk's the shit!" Setsuna said, stepping forward. "I bet that if you weren't so limited by the exercise and everything, you could totally kick all of our asses!"
"Well, he did fight and defeat that guy over there, if memory serves right," Manga said, pointing to Katsuki, who, upon being called out, growled and grit his teeth in anger.
"I doubt I can easily win," Izuku replied, trying to stay humble. "Some of you guys have really amazing Quirks, too! Like yours, Setsuna! Being able to separate yourself into so many pieces and retain control over all of them is just amazing!"
She blushed slightly at the praise. "Ha. Thanks."
"And you, Jurota! Not many can crack Diamond Soldier's outer shell like that! You are really strong to be able to pull that off!" Izuku added further.
"Heh. Thanks." Jurota replied. "You are also quite something. My fists are still sore from having to punch that hard hide of yours."
"Though that ghost guy was terrifying," Yui said, adding her own bits.
"I found him very interesting," Reiko said, however, which seemed to surprise Yui.
"You didn't see it up close, Reiko," Yui argued.
"Didn't need to. I know I like it." Yui rolled her eyes at her classmate's words, but then Izuku noticed something about the Omnitrix.
"Looks like I am good to go again, Thirteen," Izuku told her.
"Good! Only two teams are left before we end today's round of exercises. Team 4! Landslide Zone!"
Team 4: Fumikage Tokoyami, Itsuka Kendo, Kinoko Komori!
Well…Team 4 did well enough, if Izuku were to give his opinion.
"This is not fair!" Kinoko whined as Izuku was holding them all using his vines, having turned into Flora for this exercise. As if to add insult to injury, he was also using two beams from the buried ruins to make himself a hammock out of vines as well, and he was swinging without a care in the world.
"Life is not fair, but what can you do, love?" He replied, this form's laidback attitude taking over.
"This is just like Ibara's Quirk, but stronger," Itsuka said, then looked even at Tokoyami, seeing Dark Shadow snared as well. "Shit…"
"Time's up!"
"Finally!" Bakugou shouted, smacking his fist into his palm as everyone returned. "I get to have some payback."
Thirteen shared a glance with Aizawa, who nodded his head in reply. "Team 1! To the Conflagration Zone!"
Team 1: Katsuki Bakugo, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Tenya Iida, Nirengeki Shoda!
"In this scenario, combat is allowed!" Aizawa's voice came over the coms. "You must defeat the source of the fire around you! The source of the very disaster!"
"Wait! Fire?"
"And I am the source."
Everyone looked to the side, seeing Fire Hazard walking toward them. "Holy shit, he is made of fire!" Tetsutetsu said, stepping back upon seeing Fire Hazard. "And we are supposed to fight that?"
"You have no other objectives. There is no safe zone to escape to. You have 10 minutes to either defeat him or surrender. Your choice. Now begin!" Without wasting time, Katsuki charged in first using his explosions.
"Wait, Bakugou, don't-"
"No holding back this time, Deku!" He reached for his gauntlet, grabbing the pin. "DIE!" And pulled, unleashing the full power of the blast against Fire Hazard. However, his eyes widened when he found the explosion being absorbed by Fire Hazard, who was holding his palm out. When he was done, however, the force of the blast was finally unleashed, sending him back.
But without the flame and sparks, the explosion was reduced to a mere knockback effect. "Nice try, Kacchan, but you forgot something important. I know everything about your Quirk." He crossed his arms, then pulled them back, igniting himself more to the point that the surrounding concrete melted.
Tenya, Nirengeki, and Katsuki all stepped back away from the head, which was what Izuku wanted. Fire Hazard was still a dangerous form, and he didn't want to accidentally harm them! However, one of them was not intimidated.
"Eat steel!" Tetsutetsu charged in, body covered in steel. This surprised Izuku, and he tried to touch the ground quickly, but Tetsu was already too close and socked him in the face.
Fire Hazard was left dazed as another punch was delivered, then another, and another. "Enough!" Fire Hazard shouted as he shot out a stream of fire at Tetsutetsu, sending him flying back into a burning building.
"What the fuck was that?!"
"Tetsu's Quirk lets him harden like steel!" Nirengeki said. "He is not entirely fire-proof in that form, but he is more than capable of getting a few good hits in before he has to pull back!"
"Still, what do we do?" Tenya asked. "As it stands, this entire location is Midoriya's own playing field!"
"Who the fuck cares, Deku has the advantage?!" Katsuki asked as he used his explosions to go higher into the sky. "He is not surviving this! AP SHOT: Auto-Cannon!" Several AP shots were sent Fire Hazard's way, and although weaker than the original, he wasn't about to let himself get hit.
Touching the ground, a portion of it came loose, surrounded in fire, he then used to fly out of the way of the attacks, charging right at Bakugou. "You are not the only one with such tricks!" Putting his hand forth, Izuku began launching small fireballs from the tips of his hands, all of them aimed at Bakugou.
"No, you don't!" However, Bakugou swept his arm in the air, unleashing his Quirk at the same time. "Smoke Screen!" He launched a low-power explosion, but one able to create a full-blown Smoke Screen to block Fire Hazard's vision. Using this diversion, Katsuki was able to launch himself out of the way of the fireballs. When Fire Hazard came through the smoke screen, however, he failed to notice Katsuki below. "AP SHOT!" With one well-placed strike, Katsuki took out Fire Hazard's rock. "Got you."
However, he was shocked to see he wasn't panicking. Instead, Fire Hazard covered himself in fire and flew toward the ground at high speed, then lifted himself into the sky. "Phew! That was close."
"Are you shitting me?! You can fly without the rock?!"
"I do, but I cannot attack as well."
"Good to know! Now, Tenya!" Suddenly, Fire Hazard looked to the side, seeing Tenya Ida leaping toward him with a fire extinguisher.
"Where'd you get that?!" He asked, then flew out of the way, avoiding the foam.
"They are hidden around the zone," Tenya replied. "While you were busy with Bakugou, I ran around and found them stored in fireproof boxes. But! You fell for it!"
"Fell for it? Wait!" He turned around, just in time to get hit with a fire extinguisher in the face.
"Impact!" Nirengeki shouted, causing the extinguisher to be launched once again into Fire Hazard's face, but this time, it exploded, causing him to fall to the ground below. Fire Hazard couched and wheezed, his fire completely put out.
"My fire!" He shouted, then focused, trying to reignite himself.
"Now! Do not let him ignite again!" Neringeki shouted, and Tetsu appeared against, along with Tenya, launching a combined attack against him. Fire Hazard knew that if their attack landed, he'd get heavily damaged. But without his fire, he was unable to counter!
However…
"Out of the way, you bloody extras!" Bakugou rained down an explosion from above, forcing them to dodge at the last minute as the explosion washed over Fire Hazard. Thanks to it, however, his fire returned, and he flew out from the smoke, right at Bakugou. "Not gonna miss this time, De-" Fire Hazard flew right in his face.
"Thank you for that, Kacchan." He grabbed his gauntlet, his hot hands melting the container inside and igniting the stored nitroglycerin. "Now fall." The explosion sent both Fire Hazard and Bakugou flying, but as they both crashed into burning buildings, only Fire Hazard got up and out without serious damage.
Bakugou, on the other hand…"Fuck!" He was clutching his arm in pain. His arm was fine, given his body was naturally resistant to his own explosions, but that still hurt like a motherfucker and pushed his resistance to its limit! His right arm was completely numb now! He got up, slowly, staring at Fire Hazard from a distance.
"Oi!" Then Tetsu showed up. "What was that, you idiot?!"
"Shut up!" Bakugou barked back.
"Heck no! You attacked us!" Tetsu accused him. "We had him, and you sabotaged our effort!"
"I don't need you or anything to tell me how to fight! Deku is mine, end of the story!" Bakugou added again, looking out of the building to see Neringeki and Tenya attempting to fight Fire Hazard. However, he was not falling for the fire extinguisher again. "That fire guy is tough…"
"And we are running out of time, too!" Tetsu said. "If we do not wrap it up soon, we will lose! But god damn it, that guy just won't go down!"
"Wait!" Katsuki said, getting an idea. "We won't need to win by defeating him…"
"Nice try, Tenya!" Fire Hazard replied as it pushed Tenya away using a whip made of fire. "But I am afraid your time is running low."
"If only Bakugou didn't interfere," Tenya said in frustration.
"Where is Tetsu?" Neringeki asked, looking around. "He is our best bet to win this!"
"Over here!" Tetsu showed up, dropping from above together with Bakugou. "Come here!" Then he charged Fire Hazard again.
"Oi! Four Eyes! Throw another extinguisher over his head! I will blow it up!" Katsuki shouted, which surprised Fire Hazard, making him mess up and get punched by Tetsu.
"What are you doing, Kacchan?" He asked as he kicked Tetsu in the stomach, sending him back.
"This!" Tenya threw the fire extinguisher, and Bakugou did as he said, launching an explosion at it that saw foam rain down on Fire Hazard.
"Gah! Again?" His fire was out again. "I will just recover!" Then he began. The fire around the conflagration area was being sucked into him, and he was slowly regaining his fire!
"Keep him cooled down!" Katsuki shouted as everyone grabbed more fire extinguishers, aiming and firing them at Fire Hazard. However, he kept absorbing more and more fire from the surrounding area. But that was what Katsuki was banking on.
"The exercise is over!"
"What?!" Fire Hazard asked, then noticed something. The entire zone…was put out! "But…How?"
"I figured it out," Katsuki said, looking at him. "You absorb fire as both a means to put it out and recover. That is how you recovered so quickly after I blasted you before. But what if we kept cooling you down? You kept eating flames until you put this entire area out! And you are still put out! Threat neutralized." However, for some reason, Bakugou didn't look happy about this.
"Well done, Team 1!" Thirteen congratulated them as they came out of the conflagration zone. "You successfully neutralized the threat!"
"A bit of an unorthodox move, but effective," Aizawa added. "I also saw your actions, Bakugou…But I guess you repaid them already."
"Tch," he clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"That was rough…" Neringeki said. "A being made entirely of fire? How do you even get close to something like that?"
"I can!" Tetsu boasted.
"You can turn your body to steel!" Neringeki reminded him.
"Still, that was a good exercise," Tenya said, taking his helmet off to breathe in some fresh air. "What do you say, Midoriya?"
"It was. Especially at the end. I didn't expect Kacchan to use the non-violent means to defeat me." Izuku admitted, but Katsuki still seemed sour. "I admit it. This was my defeat today."
"Fuck that!" Bakugou raged, eyes fixed on Izuku. "This doesn't count!"
"What?" Izuku looked at Katsuki with a confused expression. "But you won!"
"Not how I wanted," Katsuki added. "Mark my words, Deku. I will get good enough to defeat your bullshit Quirk sooner or later, without any help or tricks!"
"Bakugou…" Aizawa said, warning him.
"I will be on the bus," Katsuki said, walking to the lockers first to get changed before heading to the bus to take them back to UA.
"That boy…" Aizawa sighed.
"I guess we are done here, correct?" Izuku asked. "I want to get back fast to study a bit more. I cannot afford to be left behind, so…" He turned into Accel before everyone, pulling his visor over his head. "We will see each other at UA!"
"Wait, aren't you going to alter the bus again and-" As Momo was about to ask him, he was already gone, vanishing in a blue blur. "Right…"
"I swear, that Quirk really is something," Awase said, with Monoma next to him having a sly grin.
"Yes." His eyes drifted to where Bakugou headed. "It is."
