Though invited to sit, there wasn't even a chair available in the room. Pei Ye glanced around, finally settling on the edge of an empty frame, while Li Jian casually sat atop a stack of ancient books.
"Today, we have three matters to discuss." As usual, the elder got straight to the point but didn't rush ahead; he stared at the young man for a moment, his gaze seeming to peer into a distant future, before retracting it.
