Avalon didn't have much to say about Lady Spider gaining her freedom; he didn't even express any objection on paper. This seemed to confirm what Lady Spider had just complained to Murphy about regarding Avalon's scheming nature.
All of this had been within his plan.
Perhaps the truth was just as Lady Spider said: the two Divine Spirits had been bound in this contradictory relationship for so long that they'd long since grown sick of each other. Under such circumstances, granting each other freedom might preserve a sliver of incense-burning sentiment; if they kept tearing at each other, it would definitely end in tragedy.
After asking the "victim" and receiving a positive answer, Murphy raised his head to look at the black figure before him with a nebula for a face. He glanced at the Primitive Shrine floating at his side and said:
"Swear an oath. I'll invite the creator to witness it, to serve as a restraint from a mere mortal like me upon a Divine Spirit."
