As we finished our preparations, my mother gave a final nod and led us to the entrance of the dungeon. The familiar sensation of magic washed over me as we stepped through the portal.
It was nothing like gating to Gravden. I emerged very disoriented, it felt like I had been flung from a rollercoaster. I stumbled, luckily, Fazio caught me by the elbow. The rest of the party seemed unaffected, seasoned adventurers that they were.
We found ourselves standing on a dirt road, winding through dense forest. The air was crisp and clean, with the scent of earth and leaves. Selahe and my mother looked at each other, then back at the group.
"Alright, based on the records, it's almost a day's hike to the village," Selahe said, adjusting his pack. "Last time this was done, they encountered a few goblin patrols along the way."
