Chapter 16 - Missions assigned PART III

Summary 15:[1]

You see, it seems like a new kind of enemy decided to join the party and is conspiring with some higher ups to start another war."

"The war" she thought thinking back at the horror that she and her brother had to go through

"To get rid of them, the garden organization will work with another one who is out of the government's sight, for the first time our two organizations will work hand in hand, to avoid any war between the two countries. But as a measure of precaution, none of you will reveal its identity.

"Right"

"You'll be filled in the details by a report that would be given to you later, but now all I can say is that this enemy is working with multiple scientists, to create super humans to use as soldiers during the war, but in order to control those super humans, someone that we deicded to name The key is needed. The key is supposed to be an old experiment that fled from the same scientists, apparently, he or she is still alive and can control an army of those super humans. Your role would be to find him or her with the help of that other organization and then get rid of it, before getting rid of the scientists of course."

"Yes, sir, the Job will be done without letting any trace like always" she said determined to find the identity of that key and avoid any kind of war. But this time her reason to do so were beyond the desire to protect the peace in her brother's life.

"Mother" a little girls voice suddenly echoed into Yor's head, so as a reflex she took the earphone, gave it to the woman, to whom she waved goodbye, as if she was an old acquaintance.

"You are done already?" she asked Anya with a smile

"Look all clean", the little girl said showing her two clean hands to her mother.

"I see, now seat and let me give you a sandwich, which one would you like?"

"The one we have made this morning"

"Alright, here it is" she said as she was handing it to her

"Yor you can go wash up, I'll stay here and watch out for the picnic"

"Thanks Loid" she said before Standing up

An hour later as everybody was enjoying the food and the clouds were taking turns to hide the sun from forger's spot, Anya decided to take a nap after stuffing herself with all the food that was presented during that picnic, as she laid her head on Yor's lap, Bond barked asking for Loid to take him for a walk, without the leach.

The master complied to his pet's demand and even thought to himself that it would be a good way to detect the trio with whom he would have to collaborate with for his next mission, at least that's what the cashier informed him of, when he was grocery shopping for the picnic with his family.

"Good thing Anya is so obsessed with nuts, without it Yor would have heard all our conversation" he thought to himself thinking about Anya exposing every single reason she loves nuts to Yor, "She's so genuine with her" he thought smirking as the image of Yor's smile was filling his mind.

"I have always loved your smile", a young man said talking to his girlfriend.

"Thank you, babe," she added before kissing him

"Yada, yada, yada, Snap out of it twilight, no emotion should be shown in the slightest way" he said while shaking his head

Meanwhile Bond was stroke by the dream of another future, the one with a dark blue dog in it and Loid thinking about training him.

"hhhhmmmm" bond sighed tired of those nonstop trainings.

"Are you bored or something? Do you want to train?" Loid asked curious of Bond's reaction.

In shock Bond looked at him shaking his head from right to left, he then proceeded to look for some kind of escape, that's when he saw something shining from afar, which triggered another premonition of Anya searching for her keychain, he squinted his eyes to identify the exact position of it, then literarily ran to get it, as he was running he noticed that an imposing silhouette of a dog got near the keychain, he then bent his head down and smelled it, which forced Bond to speed up to get there.

"Woof, Woof" Bond barked which got the other dog nervous and ready to attack, that reaction awoke some instincts that Anya's pet forgot about, the way he was barging into the dark blue dog was more violent than any type of assault Loid had ever witnessed. It was obvious that he wasn't himself anymore.

[1] On what seemed like an ordinary sunny outing, Loid wrestles with the blurred lines between duty and family, while Anya questions the reality of their bond. Meanwhile, Yor is discreetly approached at the park and entrusted with a new urgent mission that could spark another war.
