Achilles' Point of View:
"Shh," She kept a finger on my lips and looked in my eyes. "The offer. It seems valid now, doesn't it?"
I couldn't comprehend the reasons why Isabelle was behaving like that. I was trying my hardest to not feel anything, but it wasn't in my control. Not anymore, anyway. One look at her, and I felt like everything was coming back to me. Her eyes were literal drugs to me as I stared back, worried about my choices.
Her offer seemed to hold the weights to set me free. She was allowing me to feel whenever I wanted to, and for her to be there for me. It was too good of an offer for someone who cheated on her.
Part of the reason why I was reluctant was the fact that I couldn't believe it. I had seen too much of the bad side of the world and to me, there was a possibility she was trying to play me. Maybe she was the one scorned, and this was all supposed to end with her hurting me as much as I hurt her.
