Achilles' Point of View:
The last sentence of the diary left my heart beating like a drum. I breathed heavily as my eyes stared at the words.
"I don't know if it's even possible, or if you're even available… but I think I like you, and there's nothing more I want than to be with you."
I let out a shuddered breath. This might just have been the longest I was speechless. There were no words, no thoughts in my head—a dead silence that went round and round as I processed it, but my mind was completely blank. I had planned for everything in my life, but there wasn't a single second I thought this could happen.
"Uh, Achilles?" I heard her voice after what felt like at least seven minutes. I looked up at her—her expressions were worried and scared.
"Huh?" I said on instinct.
"I—uh, I shouldn't have, right?" Her voice was feeble, and delicate.
