Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Speculations? Nah

Looking at the state of the 3 students from Class C, Horikita-san, Kikyo-san, and Ayanokoji-kun were also left speechless at the display of strength that Yuuki Aki showed in the cafeteria.

All the thoughts that ran in their mind at that moment were, 'As expected of the grandson of a 5-star general.'

With those thoughts, they once again looked at the group of 3. After Yuuki Aki left the cafeteria, the group's rattled heart and mind started to settle down. Slowly standing up, they received pity, schadenfreude, and some mockery gazes from those that were still around watching them.

With still fear in his eyes, Ryuen Kakeru opened his mouth and, with sweat trailing down his forehead, asked the remaining Class D students, "Who's that guy?"

Pondering if they should respond to his question, the 3 looked at each other, Ayanokoji-kun just shrugging his shoulder, while Kikyo-san sported a perplexed face, then with a raised eyebrow, Horikita-san answered, "He is Yuuki Aki; one search in the net, and you'll know who you just crossed." With an amused smile, she continued, "If you think of continuing giving him troubles, all I can say to you is best of luck."

With those last words, she also began departing the cafeteria, heading to the Class D classroom, and decided to read books to pass the time.

Following Horikita-san's departure, deciding that they are also finished eating their food, Kikiyo-san and Ayanokoji-kun also exited the cafeteria, noticing the hostile gaze of the Class C students when they left.

Looking at the leaving shadows of the Class D, still shaken with the confrontation with Yuuki Aki, Ryuen Kakeru ordered one of his men, "Give me all the information you can get about that guy." He put Yuuki Aki at the top of the list of the dangerous students and formidable ones for his path on ascending to Class A.

With those thoughts, he departed the cafeteria, not forgetting to glare at those that watched him in his miserable state.

Not far from the commotion earlier, a girl with a petite frame with lilac short hair cascading to her shoulders, attached with a grey ribbon, and holding a cane watched the whole spectacle of the confrontation between Class D and Class C.

Twirling her cane with her hand, and with an amused smile, she muttered, "The genius heir of the Yuuki Family and Ayanokoji-kun in the same class, Class D nonetheless. Interesting."

Turning around, she faced the cleanly shaved head of a tall, intimidating, and well-built young man saying, "Interesting, right, Katsuragi Kohei-kun?" with a clearly amused face.

Replying with a serious face, Katsuragi Kohei opened his mouth, "I don't know about that, Ayanokoji, but the genius of Yuuki Aki's calibre being in Class D? That's perplexing. What do you think, Sakayanagi Arisu?" With a confused face, he asked the lilac-haired girl.

"Well, it'll be a fun high school for sure." Ending their conversation, Sakayanagi Arisu turned around and slowly walked towards the exit of the cafeteria, imagining the events that may unfold with the addition of the 2 geniuses in her mind.

Entering the classroom, I looked around and found that even though there are only 10 minutes left before the next class, there are only a few students that are already in the classroom.

Soon, just after I sat on my seat, Horikita-san, Ayanokoji-kun, and Kikyo-san arrived inside the classroom, and seemingly like they were looking for someone, after finding my figure, they beelined towards my direction with Kikyo-san in the forefront, immediately confronting me about what happened earlier, "Aki-kun, what was that about earlier? Why did they suddenly fall on the floor?" with a confused and adorably perplexed face.

"Oh, that? They just tripped and fell down together." With a straight face, I lied with a gentle smile.

What should I tell them? That I used my past life-earned aura to put them all down like the dogs they are? I'll definitely get at least some strange looks, and at worst, I'll be immediately put in the psychiatric ward once my mother hears of it.

With a blank look, the group of 3 looked at me with a face that said, 'Just tell us that you don't want to answer; no need to lie blatantly.'

"Hahaha." I laughed wryly, looking at their expressions.

"Anyway, why are they mocking us with our class? Isn't it just an ordinary class placement?" asked Kikyo-san with a confused look.

Horikita-san, with a thoughtful face, said, "With the looks that we got from Class C and the other students that were looking at us when Class C called us out as Class D, I think it's safe to assume that there is a class hierarchy between the students here at this school."

Hearing our discussion, Sudo-kun, who arrived and listened to our conversation, scoffed at Horikita-san's conjecture, "Like hell a school can have a distinction between classes of its students. They are just being cocky; don't pay those idiots any mind."

Shaking my head at his lackadaisical mindset, I said, "I also believe that Horikita-san might be onto something with her conjecture. We'll just have to observe other classes first."

Nodding in my direction for recognising her theory, Horikita-san gave a furtive smile at me, then looked away immediately, seemingly trying to hide it from others.

Annoyed at me for trying to disregard his opinion, Sudo-kun sneered, "Suit yourself, pretty boy."

With that he turned around and just put his head on his arm, trying to sleep again at the next class like he did at the previous classes earlier.

Shaking my head once again, I continued our discussion with Horikita-san and the others about our speculations and guesses about this school's hidden agendas.
