Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Yang walked up onto the dock as his hair was just dry enough for no one to notice. Eyes looked towards his direction for a brief moment before looking away. The disguise worked, now he had to know where they were. He sighs briefly before taking a couple steps towards a Seaman Recruit.

The recruit looked and jumped a bit getting into a saluting position. "W-What do you need sir!!" He said with a slight stutter. Yang didn't know what to say about this but he just needed information for now.

"Care to remind me where we're heading?"

"Did you forget Sir? We're heading to the Marine base."

"Sorry, it just slipped my mind Recruit."

He walked off as he at least knew where they were heading. But the trajectory was a little off, maybe it was a new path? He had more questions than answers as another Seaman First Class grabs his shoulder.

"Hey I've never seen you on this ship before. Identify yourself immediately."

"..."

Maybe a marine's eyes are more keen on appearances than just their uniform and rank as Yang spun around and socked the marine across the face with his fist. Mochiko and Grace heard the sudden thud from below as the disguise was blown.

"Well...looks like we're floating our way towards land or we take the ship."

"Either way Mochiko, I'm not getting in the sea again."

Mochiko sighs as he goes up the stairs and kicks the door open, all three of them were now completely dry. Yang tosses the hat off of his head as guns were aimed at their direction. "You let a newbie try and pull off a disguise Mochiko? I'm surprised you didn't do it." Yoshinori dropped down from the birds nest above, landing on their feet effortlessly.

"When you have a face like mine it becomes easy to see who's who."

"not bad, but now you're stuck with about fifteen marines on board. Maybe more. what now Pirate?"

Mochiko smirks, he already calculated for that as he shouts at Yang, "TRANSFORM NOW!!!". He was completely caught off guard as transforming would mean he would decimate the ship entirely, possibly in half. "NOW?!? WE'LL ALL FALL INTO THE SEA!!!" Yang shouted back worried and confused.

"JUST TRUST ME!!"

Mochiko turns his attention back to Yoshinori as they tossed magma towards Mochiko, he responded by tossing a piece of mochi at the magma ball. Both balls collided mid air as Yang had to make the decision quick and on the go. Reluctantly He shouts over at Grace and Mochiko "HOLD ON THEN!!!".

Yang glows golden for a brief moment before his body expands nearly tenfold, the sudden growth into his buddha form explodes the boat into two as Mochiko and Grace run against the rear side, going as high as possible. His buddha form kept Yang from sinking as the sea only reached to his stomach, he turned around to put a hand out for Mochiko and Grace to jump on.

Both hopped off the highest point on the sinking rear side of the ship and land on his fingers, he raises them up to his shoulder as they get onto and hold onto his shoulder. Yang looks down at the sinking ship as a chunk of magma was flung at him, he moved his hand into the way of the trajectory as it scorched his palm.

"Move now! I don't know how long the Sea will handle Yoshinori!"

Yang swats away another magma ball as Yoshinori was standing on rapidly cooling magma underneath their feet, creating a hot platform for Yoshinori to stand on. Yang nods at Mochiko as he starts to move away from the sinking ship. Mochiko and Grace sat down as Yang kept walking aimlessly through the sea, he could hold his form for a long time, but forever was another story.

"Where's the nearest Island Mochiko..." Grace asked.

"...The nearest one is about a few Kilometers out east...maybe northeast...I can't really tell with the sun out like this." Mochiko admitted.

Grace sighs as she looks around, there was nothing but seawater for miles on end. Yang kept walking as he made sure not step into any sudden ravines or deep crevices underneath the waves. "West you said Mochiko...?" Yang spoke, his voice deepened by his large size.

"Yeah west, we'll try west for now. It's the least we can go."

Yang takes a guess at where west was and turned left heading in a general direction he thought was west. Minutes turned into hours as time wasn't on their side. The sun began to set as Yang has been walking for almost two hours nonstop. Their progress was significant as they spotted a small sandy island, a pit stop to rest.

Yang gets them on his palm once more as they began arriving towards the sandy island. He then moves his hand down leaning over to let them get on the island dry. As soon as they hopped off, Yang transformed out of his Buddha state in the shallow side of the water, drenched once again.

He crawled out of the shallow end exhausted from tireless walking, retaining his buddha form was already stressing his body. He rests on the sand with Mochiko and Grace planning their next move.

Is this what being a pirate is...? Having to give your fellow crewmates a piggyback when things go south...?

He reluctantly doubted himself and what it meant to be a pirate, however he groans as he sits up and sees the seawater peacefully hit the waves. He had a nice view of the sunset while sitting on the sand, since the sun had settled towards the horizon Mochiko could aptly understand which direction they were heading now.

"We were heading south...not west."

"South?!?" Yang shouts a bit looking over his shoulder.

"What do you mean south!!"

"The way we were heading was east when you started walking then you made a left then two rights...we were walking south for two hours...."

Yang groans as he flops onto his back looking at the sky, Grace understood his growing frustration as she looks over at Mochiko. "What's our next move then." she asked with her arms crossed.

"We keep going south then head east, there's a frozen island we can stop at...It's better than nothing at this point..."
